I am in the process of doing a test run on this incubator. I have learned from past experience to test out a new incubator before setting eggs. The incubator is easy to set up. Set the temperature, in Celsius, the humidity level, and the number of days of incubation. That is pretty straightforward. The humidity system is unique. There is a pumping mechanism that pumps water from a supplied water bottle into the incubator. I have another incubator that uses a pump system. This is similar. It is also the reason I purchased this incubator. The set up is simple. Place the 2 plastic connectors into the slots in the lid. Run the tubing into the water bottle. The incubator will pump water as needed to maintain the humidity level. You only need to keep the water bottle filled, the incubator does the rest. The incubator has been running for 3 days now. It took about an hour for the temperature to stabilize in the incubator. The humidity took almost 6 hours to come up to 55%. Once it reached 55% it has not fluctuated more that 2% over the last 3 days. I filled the bottle once after it reached 55%. I then raised the humidity level to 65% to simulate lockdown. The incubator took nearly 5 hours to come up to 65%. I find that acceptable. I could have added water to the tray manually to help raise the humidity, but I wanted to see what the incubator was capable of. Next I connectednthe incubator to a 12 volt battery to test in the event of a power outage. This has happened to me during lockdown. It performed as if it was still running on 110 volts. I was impressed. I will continue to test the incubator for another day or two and then I will set a small batch of eggs (less than 56). I will update this review upon hatch completion. So far it has worked as expected, but proof is in the hatch rate.

Saw all the good reviews so I thought I would give it a try. Incubator came damaged, like someone dropped it. The motor is extremely loud when turned on. And lastly, the part that automatic turns the eggs is so tight that it grinds. Maybe mine is defective. Just decided to return it all together.

This is large, 56 egg incubator! I like that the inside is all plastic that can easily be cleaned and disinfected after each use, seems to be built with a sturdy material to last for a long time. This incubator comes with the candler built in so you can check the progress of the eggs. Included is the water reservoir and tubing needed to install the reservoir. The heater and fan are built into the top section of the egg incubator and this also includes the egg turners that you can remove before hatch day and has a nice screen on the bottom for the chicks to hatch on, easily cleaned also. Don’t tear up the styrofoam packing! I always keep this to help insulate the incubator and you can still see inside and use the control panel while this is still in the foam packing. Normal amount of fan noise, easy to use, easy to assemble and it’ll function as it should. I don’t foresee any problems with mechanical function. I really like the covers for the vent because instead of a plug that gets lost, these turn to open/close. My only concern was the little plastic control panel cover was detaching when I opened the package but a little good quality glue around the outer edges will adhere this with no problem.

I am impressed with this incubator for the price point. It will handle up to 56 chicken eggs and includes an automatic turner. While I haven't hatched anything in it yet, I did take it out of the box and set it up to see if it was working. It was easy to assemble, fired right up and attained the set temperature quickly. The quality of the construction is nice, and it looks solid. I will determine functionality once I make my first set of eggs and will update this review with the details. For now, it is a well-made incubator that looks as though it will have good functionality and will accommodate a good number of eggs without having to turn them manually. For the price, that is a lot! It is very nice to have a medium-sized incubator on hand for when I don't feel like using a large cabinet incubator. This will produce a good-sized hatch without having to use a giant incubator that can hatch a couple hundred chicks, and that uses a lot of electricity. One thing I did note was that the machine is quiet when running, and since it will be in the house, that is a plus. It is also going to be very easy to clean. I noted, as I was assembling the incubator, that it is intuitively constructed to allow for easy cleaning and storage when not in use.
