EDIT: This company has scammed me for a new battery. They refuse to tell me where to purchase their batteries as the original one now will not charge, they have told me they would send a "free" one but it has never shown up. Bizarre and disappointing. I bought this for my 5 year old, I got the board and seat combo. He only rides it with the seat and he loves it. He learned to use the handles quickly and zooms around the yard with his sisters.     • Be aware. You cannot change any settings on these! Not on the app or manually on the board.

I would give these 0 starts if I thought I could. After 7 days of messages and even emails to them I've gotten nowhere. I send lengthy, detailed messages and the few responses I got didn't solve anything, or answer any of my questions. They asked me to delete the app, reload it, and try again. They asked me to try a different phone. I did all that on 2 boards and got the same results. Their latest email message said they will talk with their engineers and fix it. Talk with your engineers? This should work as advertised when sold, and they do not. Bottom line - you cannot use any features on the app. The only thing that you can do is get on the board and use it as it is. Here is one of my messages to the company. It describes all the things the app doesn't control. Doing these things "manually" doesn't work either! Hi Ria, Thank you for helping me resolve this issue. I deleted the app and reloaded it. I still have the same issues. I tried to shoot a video for you but I can't shoot the video and go the the app at the same time. If you would like to see a video of the steps and settings - let me know and I'll get help getting that done for you. I downloaded the only "Gyroor" app from the App Store onto my iPhone 12. The app had me sign in, which I did successfully. I turned 1 board on, and touched the bluetooth icon on the upper left. It scanned and found: Model 1: Gyroor. I touched it and it came back with NOTICE, Connected, OK. I touched OK. It stayed at that Bluetooth screen. I touched the (back) arrow and it goes to the km/h screen. I went to Settings and changed it to mile/h. It was already in Child and Self Balance mode. I have the speed limit slider set to 3.6mi/h. * I touched the back arrow, and then selected Settings again. And the mph is already back to kmph! Every time I go to Color of Lantern I can change it, and the color on the board goes to the color I select. But the button above always reads 'Automatic color change." It is not a real button because when I touch it, nothing happens. If I stay on this screen the color I selected stays on the board. As soon as I touch the back arrow: The colors on the board start changing again. I can control the speed of the board with the handles. But the board will always go to its maximum speed no matter where I have the speed limit set. When I change the speed limit I get a temporary window that reads "Set Successfully." The board does recognize the speed limit because it will start beeping when I reach that speed limit. Set to 6kmph it starts beeping when I reach 6kmph. Set it to 14 kmph and it starts beeping at 14 kmph. But I can always continue to go to the board's Maximum speed! * When I change it to Adult Mode I get a beep and it DOES stay there. But I see absolutely no difference when it is in Adult mode vs. Child mode. I ran Fault detection many times and it says everything is normal. I tried Changing to Child Mode manually, on the board, and nothing changed. However, all of your English instructions aren't written properly and they are very confusing. I did all of the above on both boards and they both react the same way. I researched Hoverboards for over 15 hours over 6 days. This model had all the features I needed. * Interesting: All the Amazon Questions & Answers, and Reviews that are from 2019 say the app works and they can make changes. All of them from 2020 & 2021 say they don't work. It looks like something changed with your 2020/2021 models or app and the app no longer works. I purchased this for my Grandson's birthday, he absolutely loves it. It's sturdy and easy to ride. Being able to listen to music while he rides and the lights are his favorite. My favorite is being able to control his speed and keeping track of the battery life.     • Out of the box fun! But not lasting

I'm a dad of three boys, 15, 13, and 11. Looked for a gocart type experience that could used on a court that we live on. Out of the box it was about half charged. Pretty easy put together, although giving a better wrench and allenhead would make thinga a little smoother. Once together we were off. I tried it out first, and while I'm pushing 245, it held me just fine and cooks! With a full charge it gave us a little over a 30min. ride time. Doing a charge test know to see how long it takes (trickle charge). Powering on is a bit of a trick. We have learned to get on first, hold the sticks to a center postion so the board is level, reach back and hit the power switch, and then you golden. I think I may hack the power switch and move it to the center by your feet. The bluetooh speak is loud, but rather than give a mono sound, it sounds like its only give a right or a left, so don't expext full hifi experience. Its good enough to blast Cars, or the Incredibles theme while racing. Wish it had a cell pgone mount on the front center by your feet as the bluetooth app has a speedometer. Would be cool if there was an option to switch from km to miles. When this thing gets going, it moves, but don't expect to do high speed turns. Even if the controls would let you, you would probably roll the cart. More than what I was hoping for, will probably buy two more. I can easily see where I could mood it if I would like to. I'll post another update after we have a few more miles on this, but so far a win! Update 4/11/20 Ok, this thing is starting to fall apart and we haven't been crazy with it. It's be used probably four times. The front end is starting to bend, and we haven't hit anything. Areas are starting to unscrew, both areas we assembled and areas the factor assembled- and it comes with good nylon nuts. The velcro straps at the bottom are almost destroyed, and the tread on the wheels is wearing down fast. For a unit that claims to be an off-road unit, I expect a little more. If my sons were doing something crazy on the unit, I'd blame us, but they haven't been. After four uses, it ought to hold up more. I'm going to reach out to Gyroor. Update -4/23/20 I reached out to Gyroor and they were very attentive with email responses. They said they would send me a replacement frame. Great. That was over a week and a half ago, no shipping confirmation, no email asking for address as I assumed they pulled my information from my Amazon order. Nope...So I reached out yesterday and they now asked for my address this time. Empty promises so far. I'll update again if they stand by what they said they would do. As a side, I found that a 6" metal band for AC vents will do a much better job than the velcro. Around $3 at Home Depot. ... show more
