It didn't have the light up tires like the picture shows. That's the only reason I bought this. This is not worth the money at all. My daughter wasn't surprised about it at all. Her friend has one that the bar lights up on.

My son (4) loves this scooter; he's a fan of how stable it is, and its not too hard for him to turn. He loves the lights on the pole, and how easy it is for him to turn them on/off. As a parent there are a few details that keep this from being perfect. * Board Lights - the lights on the board are controlled by a switch under the board ... where the battery compartment is. The battery compartment doesn't seem to be waterproof, and I have worries about using this to go through puddles. The lights are also sort of weak - they'd probably look really cool in the dark, but in the day time they're not really noticeable. We tend to keep them off. * Turning - To 'turn' this you lean into whichever direction you want to turn instead of turning the pole. This provides a very limited turning radius which makes it harder to maneuver around things * The picture has the wheels lighting up - they don't. I don't mind this (would've been hard to do well), but I don't like the false advertising One thing I'm not sure of is the value proposition of this scooter - I know there are cheaper ones out there, but not having tested them I don't have a point of comparison. Two last points: * This uses a lot of batteries; 3 in each compartment. So far they seem to be lasting awhile, so hopefully this won't be a money sink where we are constantly replacing batteries. * The scooter folds up. We don't use that much as we can walk a lot of places, but its useful if you want to drive somewhere with the scooter in the trunk. ... show more

This was easy for my 4 year old to ride and she enjoys it. We first introduced a similar scooter to her at age 3 (another lean-to-turn scooter) and she did not take to it immediately. I don't think she really developed the motor coordination and patience until she was 4.

This scooter is great for teaching kids balance and skill and getting them to exercise in a fun way. It’s an excellent starter scooter, until they’re ready for a “big kid’s” one. Technically, both my kids (ages 2 and 3) are a little young, as the recommended ages are 5+. However, my 3 yr old has gotten incredibly good! She can really pick up some speed and is getting used to the lean-steering. My 2 yr old isn’t as fast, but you’d never know, since he’s very good with steering and can also go pretty fast. There’s an anti-skid area all along the foot rest area. So far, no one has slipped off, so I feel safe letting my kids ride this scooter. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to capture the led lights. It’s obviously much easier when it’s not so bright outside. But, you can see them in the right conditions and it’s a very nice added effect. We haven’t used the Bluetooth speakers on this product, though we have the original Hoverboard, and it has excellent sound quality. So I doubt there would be any issues with this one. I do love that it’s so easy to fold and unfold. And you can also change the height very easily, though an adult will probably need that, as the piece that pulls is rather difficult to do for a child. But there’s a button on the bottom that you simply press, which then allows you to fold it up or unfold. It’s super lightweight, too, so it’s perfect for taking to the park. ... show more

Many kids like the "big kid" scooters but they are more difficult to balance and ride on for a littler one. This is super nice because it has 4 wheels and doesn't tip over. It doesn't look like a "baby" toy, so they really like it. The lights are especially fun. I like that the handlebar is adjustible and that it has a brake. It really is a good learning toy for if they want to graduate to a regular scooter later on, but aren't left out of the fun now. ... show more

- Made in China - Assembly minimal - 6 AAA batteries in 2 different places - Screw battery compartment, does have collar I have to admit the lights are fun but 6 batteries in screw compartments in two different places is a bit annoying. Necessary, but that doesn't stop me from griping heh It has a sort of brake, just a bendy part over the back wheel. It's somewhat affective but more like a slow down than a stop. Good wide platform, front wheels are a decent width. Quite stable. It's rather heavy for a scooter but it doesn't seem too heavy, plus it's really sturdy and I'm glad for that. Fun stuff.
