  • Great power and stability
Style: Neo V (Ages 8 - 12) Color: Gray
The media could not be loaded. This scooter is extremely nice looking and well made. Love the headlight and speed mode plus all the gauges .. it has plenty of power to move me around at 220 lbs. I’m sure it could do more weight.. the run time is great and the kickstand holds on in place ! I would definitely buy another!!! ... show more

  • Impressive overall, but mine has charging issues
Style: Neo X (Ages 12 - 16) Color: Blue
Overall, I really liked this e-scooter. I had to wait several days after I received it to try it out, as our temps were below 32 deg and per the instructions this scooter should not be used in sub-freezing temps. But once our temperatures got into the mid-30's, I took it out and had a blast! I'm normally a longboard rider or a cyclist, so the scooter was a bit of a change, but it was easy enough to pick up quickly. Upon unboxing the unit, I was quite impressed with the robustness of the unit; this was definitely a big step up from the usual kid's scooters. Assembly was simple; basically unfold the handlebar tube, engage the latch, then put the handlebars in place and screw them down with 4 screws (Allen wrench is provided, along with space screws). There were some extra wrenches in the bag that don't appear to have a purpose, at least nothing indicated in the instructions (I assume they are for some maintenance items). I did find that ensuring the handlebar tube latch is fully engaged takes some commitment, so be sure to verify that it's fully latched and locked. Charging the unit turned out to be an issue for me. Per the instructions, when plugging the jack in to charge the battery, the LED light on the charger should turn red while charging, then green when fully charged. My charger light is always green and flashing. I assumed that meant it was fully charged when I first plugged it in, but after using it and finding my range was quite limited, I plugged it in again and found the same issue, even though the light bar showed it was in need of being charged. It seems to charge up to around 75%, but won't finish the charge. Not sure if it's a battery issue or a charger issue. In actual use, this e-scooter is a lot of fun. I'm 205 lbs, and it propelled me with ease. In Eco mode, I hit the full 9 mph; in speed mode it would get to 14 mph, but wouldn't quite hit the 15 mph advertised (speeds per the scooter speedometer). The ride was pretty smooth, and I found it handled well. There's a delay between pushing the button and hearing the beep indicating the button was pushed, so I found it a little challenging to know if I had pushed the buttons fast enough to engage the various options (all the options are selected by pushing the single button a certain number of times and at a certain rapidity). Somehow or other I managed to engage the speed mode, the lights, cruise control, and remove the push-to-start feature at various times. The cruise control is a nice feature; I just wish it was easier to select. The brake works well, but I really didn't need it for the most part; releasing or reducing the speed control was sufficient for slowing/stopping under most conditions. As noted above, my biggest issue is the charging problem with my unit, as I found the indicated energy left got low after less than 2 miles of playing around. Hopefully the manufacturer can get it corrected on my unit. Otherwise this is a great e-scooter for zipping around locally, or just having some fun on subdivision streets and bike paths. ... show more

  • Six stars if I could - Great Scooter for Teens and Smaller Adults – Well-Made and Fun to Ride!
Style: Neo X (Ages 12 - 16) Color: Blue
We got this scooter for our 15-year-old son as a Christmas gift, and it’s been a big hit! It’s perfect for your average-sized teen or adult, but it’s important to note that it’s not designed for taller or heavier riders. I’m 6'4" and 280ish pounds, and unfortunately, I can’t comfortably ride it and the weight limit is 260lbs. From our experience, it’s best suited for riders under 6 feet tall. You might get away with someone slightly taller, but the experience won’t be as comfortable. That said, this scooter is perfect for our son, who’s of average height (5'10) and weight (155) for a teenager. He had never ridden a powered scooter before, and it took him only about 10 minutes to get the hang of it. Most of that time was spent figuring out balance and mobility. It comes about 70-80% charged out of the box, which is ideal for a quick test run. For its maiden voyage, my son rode it about three miles to his grandparents' house using sidewalks and bike lanes while I followed in the car. The battery held up well, but by the time he arrived, it was down to one bar. He mostly used the economy mode for the ride, which helped conserve battery life. On flatter sidewalks, I encouraged him to switch to sport mode to test the higher speeds. It’s worth noting, like any other electric vehicle, the faster you go, the quicker the battery depletes. Based on our test, this scooter wouldn’t have made it back home on the remaining charge, so plan your trips accordingly. Charging is straightforward but has a few quirks. Once plugged in, the charger has an LED indicator—amber or red while charging and green when fully charged. The scooter itself doesn’t display any visual indicators while charging, so you’ll need to rely on the charger’s LED. Also, you can’t power the scooter on while it’s plugged in, and you’ll need to unplug it from the scooter itself, not just the wall outlet. The recharge, from two bars to fully charged took over 2 hours, though I did not set a timer for it, I could be off, so around 2 hours is the best time frame, the closer you are to zero, the longer it will take to recharge. The battery is not removable! As for build quality, the scooter is impressive. It’s made from a combination of metal and limited plastic parts, giving it a sturdy, well-constructed feel. It’s clearly designed for sidewalks and bike lanes and handles those surfaces well with its 8.5” air-filled tires. The ride is smooth and comfortable, especially for a scooter in this price range. Safety is a big priority for us, and I can’t stress this enough—wear proper protective gear! If you ever take a fall, your head is often the first thing to hit the ground. At a minimum, a helmet is a must, but we also recommend elbow and eye protection. Knee pads are a good idea, too, especially for younger or less experienced riders. Overall, this scooter has been a fantastic purchase for our son. It’s fun, durable, and offers a smooth, enjoyable ride. Just make sure to follow the sizing guidelines and plan your rides around the battery range. For teens and smaller adults, this is an excellent choice! Highly recommend. ... show more
