I bought this as a Christmas gift for my child. It has a recommended maximum weight of 80 pounds, and they are well under that. Within six months, the board began to fall apart. The bottom part is connected by screws, which go into plastic holes that just broke apart. The bottom is barely hanging on. I would not recommend this. Bought for my 6 year old and she absolutely loves it. Perfect size for her ( she is smaller in size) with enough to grow. She got the hang of it pretty quickly. Nice colors battery last long and seems to be made very well.

The media could not be loaded. These are great! I bought two, for my 4.5 year old and almost 6 year old. Both kids are not very athletic or motivated, but they got the hang of it right away. After 3 nights practicing, Miss 5 is going backwards, doing double spins and getting fancy with it. Miss 4 is going slow but steady, only asking to hold my hand to get on the board and can turn. So far, this seems a big win. The hoverboard clearly compensates a bit for abrupt movements and lack of balance and it keeps angrily at them when they use it inappropriately. My daughter Loves it. I had to buy her another one because for some reason when I saw it in my kitchen I had to test it out. Lets just say it can't hold my 240 lbs. Snapped right in half.
