Took forever to charge, just kidding, took usual amount of time for these, I was just impatient because I was really excited to try it out. Works great, I had a blast riding it all over the house. Only negative is there's barely any space between fenders and wheels so if i place my feet to close to the fenders it rubs sometimes, i weigh 105 so for heavier people it might become a bigger issue over time. Plus side to the blue one, has a battery indicator on top, black one just has a light that's either green or red. Both are awesome, lots of fun! ... show more

This is the 2nd one I have to send back. First one charger was the right one and now i have to send another one back because charger does work. This is nuts and very upset due to it was a birthday present for my grandson.

I am a grown man in his 50's and I thoroughly enjoy this product. Having no kids in the house, I knew my wife would roll her eyes when she saw me unpack it. She said I was going to hurt myself, and I honestly at first I thought she had about a 90% chance of being correct. Well I survived the relatively quick learning curve, and I love it. I started out slowly, just getting on and off consistently and balancing while in a narrow hallway where I could have a hand on each wall. I quickly progressed to just slowly going forward and backward in a straight line. After about 20 mins, I was zipping around the house and driving her and the dogs crazy (they were barking and nervous of me "floating" around). As a teenager many many years ago, I enjoyed skateboarding, and as an adult I enjoy ice and inline skating, so I feel I have some ability when it comes to balance. I'm sure teenagers would pick it up even quicker. The unit is very sturdy, and feels solid under my feet. Admittedly I do exceed the recommended max weight of 160 lbs, but so far there hasn't been an issue. For me this is just a really fun gadget and I am not looking to use it for a regular commute or over long distances, so the range I get is not important to me. There is some discrepancy on the website saying 3-miles max in title, but in other places stating as much as 12 miles, and I tend to believe it will be on the lower end of that range. I also was easily able to connect my phone via bluetooth and blast music from its built-in speaker. Overall a very fun product, and hopefully my confidence does not exceed my ability...so far so good! ... show more

The hoverboard I got was a silver colored one and it really looks impressive. I like the fact that you can use Bluetooth to pair it with your phone and you can play music while you ride. The speaker is actually quite impressive and sounds great. I also like the way they designed the lights on this scooter. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to these hoverboards, so it was some kind of experience to stand on it for the first time. I really thought I was going to go crashing off the scooter because my hands were wildly waving back and forth. But somehow, almost magically, the hoverboard just kept me balanced. It was probably a couple minutes later of just standing on it that I started to get the hang of it. Really, it's very intuitive. It's almost like you think where you want to go, and you just go. And the more you use it, the more you can control it. I'm still going fairly slow on it because I'm not quite fully accustomed to it. But that will be better over time. The battery life varies depending on your weight. As I'm just a little past the weight limit of the scooter (it is supposed to only allow 160 lbs.), so I don't get as long of a range as the quoted 3 miles. But that's not the fault of the scooter, and the range is still very good for the size of this device. Overall, I think this is a very cool scooter that I will enjoy for years to come. The biggest hurdle is just getting on the scooter for the first time. After that, it gets much easier. And once you know how to use it, it's almost like it reads your mind and goes where you want it to go. ... show more

This hoverboard requires 3 pin charger and mine came with a 1 pin charger. Very disappointed. My kid was excited about the hoverboard but he is very upset by seeing wrong charger.
