Caught on fire!!!!!
This was my daughters big Xmas gift this year. We unpackaged it, plugged it in and with 30 mins it was on fire. If it wasn’t for my daughter who smelt the smoke it would’ve been a Christmas disaster. We were about to leave the house with the board charging which would've burnt down my house if we weren’t there. Absolute piece of garbage. DO NOT BUY OR LEAVE CHARGING IF YOU ARE NOT AT HOME. ... show more

A great inexpensive starter hoverboard

The media could not be loaded. This fun hoverboard is easy to use, and a great option for kids 8+ that are just learning how to hoverboard. The board is more sensitive and responsive than some other hoverboards that we have tried. It also has a lower max speed than the other hoverboards we have used from Hover-1 (like the Titan model), which is nice for younger riders if you have safety concerns. Setup was very easy, just unbox the hoverboard and plug in the charger. You must make sure to fully charge it before the first use, per the instructions. It took about 4 hours to charge to full the first time. Then when you power it on, it will be in Bluetooth discover mode, so you can go to your phone’s Bluetooth menu and select the “i-200” from the list to connect. After a few seconds it will connect, and you will hear a “Connected” message from the speakers. If you disconnect or move out of Bluetooth range from your phone it will announce “Disconnected” from the speakers. The speakers are actually pretty loud, louder than we expected, so be ready to adjust the volume on your phone. Of course, you don’t need to use the Bluetooth functions at all if you just want to ride around without using the speakers. The board is very responsive and easy to get used to, and the kids were able to hop on and ride around like pros in no time. The wheels look cool with their glowing LED lights, especially after dark. *Note that the max weight is 160 pounds for this board; it might be too small for some adults. It is always a good idea to wear protective gear just in case! ... show more

Original AND replacement defective out of the box
I ordered this for my daughter and it wouldn’t charge. I returned it and ordered a replacement, which had the exact same issue. Will be returning that one as well and ordering from a different brand.

Did not work upon arrival and was brand new
The board would never charge. Went to the Hover-1 website and they suggested to return to Amazon due to it possibly being a faulty motherboard. My daughter was very sad as this was her birthday present she has been waiting on. Update: Amazon replaced with no issue, was very courteous and replacement arrived very fast. The new one works great! ... show more

My kids love it!
My kids have been wanting a hoverboard for sometime now and we finally caved and gave this to them as a Christmas present and it has been a huge hit. They absolutely love it! First of all it looks amazing out of the box, the pink really pops and the lighting on the wheels when it is being used is super cool. Out of the box it does need to be charged fully before first time use, so we made sure to charge it up on Christmas Eve. It was super easy for my kids to use, my 8 and 9 year olds got the hang of it right away and the younger kids did by the next day. My kids are giving my wife and I tips on how to use it now😁 The Bluetooth function on it is a fun bonus, well depending on who the DJ is. So far it has just been used indoors, once the snow melts and the weather warms up I am sure it will get outdoor use as well. The battery life seems to be pretty decent so far. We really don’t have any issues with it. It has been great for our family and the kids just really love it. We haven’t had any other hoverboards, so don't have anything to compare it to, but are very pleased with the quality and durability so far. I hope that sharing my opinion and experience here provides you some value when shopping and deciding on something like this hoverboard, if so please let everyone know below. ... show more
