Description

The Hover-1 Eagle has everything a young electric scooter rider could need. Its 300W motor and 15 mph max speed makes the Eagle fun and beginner friendly to operate. Took the scooter out and put it together, went to turn it on and nothing. Checked the battery connector and it was connected. Still no power. Plugged in the charger and the light remained green instead of red for charging indication. Obviously a one star since I didn't even get to use to the product

The 7-mile range on a single charge is quite impressive, as it ensures I can comfortably reach my destination without worrying about running out of battery. The battery life indicator is clear and accurate, allowing me to plan my trips accordingly. The Hover-1 Eagle is also equipped with a durable and sturdy frame, capable of supporting riders up to 220 lbs. I feel safe and secure while riding it, knowing that it can handle various terrains and conditions with ease. Additionally, the scooter features a bright LED headlight and brake lights, ensuring visibility and safety during nighttime rides. I’m glad I waited a bit to review this one as a lot of things I would have complained about when I first received it I just got used and they either are not an issue or I actually grew to like them. Initially when I got it I found the throttle and brake kind of annoying. After using it quite a bit they don’t bother me at all. You can double tap the throttle and it will set a cruise control basically. It works very well, the brake also works very well, but a lot of the time I just step off of it and pick the front wheel up, you can stop instantly. It’s fast, at least for me. I wouldn’t want it to go any faster I’ll put it that way. It charges in 5 or 6 hours but I usually just throw it on the charger when I’m not using it. Has a really bright headlight with plenty of distance and and there’s plenty of reflective lights so other can see you at night. I generally don't ride it at night but I do often ride at dusk, especially during the winter and I use the headlight then mostly so others can see me. I’ve been riding it for a few months and the battery doesn’t seem to degrade at all my most common use is riding up tot eh local disc golf part and it’s nice to have it so I can pack all my stuff up to the park. I’m shocked I like it so much and am going to stick with this model for a while. My favorite use is vacation! Take these down to the keys etc, you can roll around and not have to worry about parking or gas, charge it in the room for free. Love it. After using it for a few months I can’t find any cons, I’m mid 40’s and it takes a little getting used to riding but these are pretty cool and I have a lot of fun on it tbh. They aren’t anything like the hoverboards, I tried to ride one of those and it was scary! Lol. You are a little wobbly when you first start riding it and after a while it’s like riding a bike. This scooter has been fantastic! Unlike other reviewers, I’ve had no problems with the scooter. I use it sparingly, but I will say, the battery life has been awesome. After about a month with no riding, the battery was still 3/4 charged. For typically riding around the neighborhood, the charge can last about a week. Make sure you fully charge it before you use it. Read the instructions and you should save your product from malfunctioning. It gets up to 15mph and has two power options (speed wise) to choose from. Goes up to seven miles on a full charge. Bought 2 for my kids and after about 20 minutes of riding after it fully charged my son walked it back with an error code E1. The manual says that means the motor needs replaced. I called Amazon and told them I just want it replaced not refunded because I bought it on sale for $90 less than it's current price. Amazon told me they can't do that. I asked if I should call the manufacturer and ask them to repair or replace it and they said sure and gave me the wrong number to a company called hover but not affiliated with scooter builders and the guy on the line told me that they get horror stories about these scooters regularly. Also it looks like stickers were torn off the bottom and new stickers put on which makes me think the send me remanufactured scooters. ... show more

We have a variety of scooters and this one leaves everyone unimpressed and as a result is one of the least used of the "good ones". I guess that probably means it's not "great" because it certainly isn't like some of the junk that we've tried as well.
