I've been sewing for almost 60 years so it was time to get rid of my Pfaff and "downsize". This little machine takes some practice but works for my needs. A child would have to be taught to use it. It isn't a full sized machine so keep your expectations on small projects and mending. It works well.

It is very light which made me wonder if it would even work but it DOES! I've only sewn a few things so far but I had no problems at all, and given the small size & light weight I can sew anywhere in the house! Now my daughters want me to teach them since this machine isn't so intimidating.

My wife bought this to make baby blankets and burp cloths for charity. The little sewing machine was compact, lightweight, easy to use, and did a great job. The only problem she had was bending or breaking needles on thick, towel-type fabrics which the instructions clearly indicated. She changed materials and hasn't had any problems.

Very good quality of the seams for a beginner's machine. I am an adult and use it like a normal sewing machine. It is not heavy or bulky.
