This is an excellent controller with extremely fast input time and button responsiveness. However, you gotta treat it with care and not grip down on it too hard. My son uses it and I've had to replace it once, since the first one was dropped and done. I can't use it because my grip strength ruins most controllers, I'd obliterate this one. 99 bucks? Functionality of much more expensive controllers? No brainer. Been gaming for 15 years on xbox. Best xbox controller I've ever used including the Microsoft elite v1. You can buy a beaver or a scuff for 220+ or buy this for 99. The purple faceplate is the best, comfortable and feels great in my hands. Read a bunch of negative reviews when I first ordered it and got worried. I've been nothing but very pleased so far. Dual back paddles are easy to use and are a game changer in fps games. Negative reviews talk about cheap plastic. I agree the white face plate feels cheap, the back plastic and triggers can also feel cheap if you just hold it in your hand. But when I'm using it? Feels great and performers great. You aren't going to get Ferrari fit and finish for corvette money. Just like a corvette though you'll get Ferrari performance and function for half the price. ... show more

    • It's the best of what there is to offer
Simply put, there isn't another controller on the market that beats this one in any manner. It has it's quirks, but from my experience, those quirks typically can be addressed. I have not tried using the warranty process on this product, so I can't speak on that at all. I am not embellishing when I say this product is better than the rest of the competition for xbox- I've tried them all and have owned an absolute slew of controllers. The quirks of the product are why I deducted a star- yes they can be remedied or would likely qualify for a warranty replacement, but I digress. Quirks being- Sometimes the sticks drift or behave oddly (one action institutes a directional pull [i.e., pulling trigger turns camera to the left]) Buttons (for me particularly the xbox button) can be overly sensitive or double click The left thumbstick seems to lose some of its outer zone for some reason (this appears to be very common and the modules appear to be different from the right ones which I found.. interesting). All of these can be fixed either by recalibrating the controller and/or doing a very good cleaning of it -- DISCLAIMER: I do not know if dismantling controllers voids warranty, typically it does The app is great, I prefer to do the recalibration by resetting the controller though as I have found better success with this method (holding down on d pad when plugging controller in, press a, clockwise motion and trigger pull all separately, click down again) -- a nice feature addition would be to adjust outer dead-zone separate from the inner (would further fix left stick issue) To fix the left stick otherwise, I find removing the gate (black plastic piece around stick) entirely is the only real solution. If there were more thumbstick options (or if they werent designed so differently than the rest on the market....) and a better feeling back material (it's not bad, just feels not-premium). I would easily pay $200 and give it 5 stars all day. This is assuming the quirks worked out as well. Overall for the price, software, controller feature set, and in comparison to its competitors- this is without a shadow of a doubt the best option on the market (for FPS!) ... show more

Have been using the control for a day now, the feeling is amazing, I just have two minor points that I wanted to mention, one being the purple faceplate, I love it, but it would be great that it had a grip on the front Just like the white one, and the other point is that setting the trigger stops can be a little confusing at the start, but you will get used to it. Leaving this minor thing apart, it's overall a great control, I love the back paddles, the overall feeling of the control is great, and it is very responsive. I'm still getting used to it since it's the first time I have a pro controller. Final verdict, if you want to have a great control for a reasonable budget, definitely get this one!!!!!! ... show more

    • Purchased three times, I want to make this controller work and wish it could simply last longer
I play a lot of Rocket League on PC, which at high levels greatly benefits from fast reaction time, low input lag, and joystick fineness. There is noticeably lower input lag than any controller I've used. Although these are not hall-effect joystick sensors, the stick drift is near zero (.0002), like my 8BITDO hall-effect controller. This allows me to set my Rocket League sensitivity at higher settings since controller errors are negligible. I am faster, more accurate, and feel seamlessly connected to my gameplay. So when the left bumper of my first controller broke (the internal lever arm plastic snapped), I immediately bought a new controller. About 40 days later, the bottom paddle (button) stopped responding to inputs. Instead of purchasing a new controller, I took the working left bumper off the new controller and put it on my old controller. This worked for another month, and all was good. Then, the left bumper broke again (the internal lever arm snapped just like before). So then I purchased a third controller, and all was good for about another 40 days. And just as before, the plastic lever arm of the left bumper snapped, rendering the left bumper useless. I use the left bumper for power-sliding, which, in Rocket League, is a very important function. If I didn't rely so much on the left bumper, perhaps the controller would still be in use today, but I can tell you with certainty that the build quality of the controller leaves much to be desired. Simply better quality plastics would have saved me $300, the total amount of money I've spent on three controllers that no longer work. If Gambit made this same controller with premium materials that weren't so brittle, I would gladly pay over $300. Even tho I can no longer use this controller after purchasing it three times, I still rate it at 3/5 stars, because it is that good. I hope you found this helpful. ... show more
