99 bucks? Functionality of much more expensive controllers? No brainer. Been gaming for 15 years on xbox. Best xbox controller I've ever used including the Microsoft elite v1. You can buy a beaver or a scuff for 220+ or buy this for 99. The purple faceplate is the best, comfortable and feels great in my hands. Read a bunch of negative reviews when I first ordered it and got worried. I've been nothing but very pleased so far. Dual back paddles are easy to use and are a game changer in fps games. Negative reviews talk about cheap plastic. I agree the white face plate feels cheap, the back plastic and triggers can also feel cheap if you just hold it in your hand. But when I'm using it? Feels great and performers great. You aren't going to get Ferrari fit and finish for corvette money. Just like a corvette though you'll get Ferrari performance and function for half the price.

This is an excellent controller with extremely fast input time and button responsiveness. However, you gotta treat it with care and not grip down on it too hard. My son uses it and I've had to replace it once, since the first one was dropped and done. I can't use it because my grip strength ruins most controllers, I'd obliterate this one. I wish I could though.

I purchased this controller to replace my scuf instinct pro. I can almost buy 3 of these controllers for one instinct pro. My instinct pro lasted about 600 hours before getting unusable vertige stick drift in the left analog stick. Thus, don’t go with the instinct pro if you don’t want to buy a new roller every 6-8 months. Overall, controller is light and feels a bit fragile, but if you want a controller that you can drop countless times don’t go with any expensive controller. The paddles are a bit close to get for my liking, and I prefer buttons, but they actually work very well and are responsive. The triggers could use a little more resistance, but they ate tight and responsive. The button are closer to the faceplate than I am used to, but I prefer this. I main rocket league and like that I can easily hold two buttons with my thumb at the same time. I haven’t tried using the controller with CoD yet, but expect it will be work nicely. Overall, the price makes this controller exceptional. For $100 you can get a controller with responsive triggers, buttons, and 4 remappable paddles. Yes, the analogs use a potentiometer and will eventually get stick drift. Thus, utility and price are important and make this controller stand out amongst other “pro” controllers. Buy this controller if you don’t want to spend $500/yr on a scuf instinct pro.

TL;DR/Highlights: Fast buttons, smooth and well-built thumbsticks, durable (near zero decline in quality after a year), quick performance in general. Physical design may be uncomfortable for smaller hands and/or certain grips. Functions well - buttons feel clicky and fast, thumbsticks smooth without feeling 'loose.' Minimal stick drift almost a year in - functionally none in most games. I've seen claims of some built-in deadzone - and whilst in controller testing sites there seems to be some large, axis-based deadzone - in actual games there seems to be no difference compared to stock controllers. Certainly, if there is some built-in deadzone the average gamer won't notice. Major issue is physical design - the controller is wider and shorter than stock and the face-buttons are smaller - the controller is therefore unsuitable for smaller hands and/or claw players: it's simply uncomfortable to reach so far toward the middle to press X or move the stick, but then have to clench inward to reach B and A. That said, more medium-sized hands or an adjustment in grip should make the design manageable. Software/app works fine, but is less in-depth than you'd think - you'll basically set deadzones and other preferences then never touch it again. For nitpicks - face-plates are both ass and the hard-cover especially began to grind into the thumbstick and stutter movement eventually. The back buttons are placed too close together and have a soft, 'unresponsive' click - in that you're sometimes not sure you pressed the button. All that said, something like an 8.8/10. Would absolutely recommend - amazing controller for the price and in general.

At first this controller seems like the goat. It’s light, responsive , and fits your hands nice. Works great and your happy about your purchase. If you’re an avid gamer like myself this thing starts breaking down…mainly the left and right trigger. I was noticing they started being less responsive and I’d have to press them harder and harder. So I would recalibrate it through the app. Seems ok for a few games then again not as responsive and as you know every little amount of pressure is essential in gaming. It’s annoying to keep going in and trying to recalibrate it because they get worn down so quickly. It gets to the point where it’s not even worth doing it or guessing if it’s going to work right or not. I thought maybe I had a defective controller and since I liked it so much I bought a new one at game stop. Then again , at first I remembered why I liked it so much the. About a month later same old story on the triggers. It actually got to the point where I would press the right trigger and it would make the left joystick move to the right a little bit and was just messing up all around. I finally had to go back to my elite 2 and give up on this and eat the loss. I went through 2 of them.. I really wish they would make this controller more durable because it’s so good at first then just wears out like it’s a kids toy. Hopefully they fix this issue I can’t be the only one…it’s worth the $99 if it worked like it’s supposed to for a long period of time but obviously isn’t worth the money because it only lasts a short time depending on how active you are on it. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! If the company is reading this feel free to chime in!!??

EDIT: This controller is bad. Don't buy it. Too many people have found this review helpful. old: First, I have to commend Victrix on the really, really aggressive pricing for this controller. As of writing (Oct. 2021), you get trigger locks, four (or two) paddles, two faceplates, solid build quality, and fine adjustments via app for just $100, which is WILD in a market dominated by $180-200 options or even higher! $100 is a statement, for sure. I really hope this gives "big controller" a run for its money. I would love to see folks like Razer forced to actually look at their designs instead of using the same uncomfortable paddles since 2017. Heck, maybe it'll push Microsoft to add a third set of triggers (Razer M1/M2 style) to an Elite Series 3! Anyway, I love almost everything about this controller. Buttons are clicky and very responsive, I love having five different positions I could lock the triggers to, and the shape feels very ergonomic in a way some elite controllers don't quite nail. I even grew to love the purple/white aesthetic. It's a looker and it's clear a lot of thought and care was put into this pad. Honestly, for the value proposition and feature set, you can't beat the Gambit. That said, **extremely nerdy nitpicks incoming** This won't unseat my Elite Series 2 as my daily driver, for a few reasons. 1) I love the idea of the back paddles being flush with the grips, but in practice, it ends up feeling a bit "cramped" back there. Maybe this won't be an issue for smaller hands, but keeping my middle finger and ring finger positioned on both paddles means the fingers are basically pressed together, which isn't a natural, comfortable grip. 2) Having to "squeeze" my fingers to actuate those back buttons moves the controller slightly every time. In fast-paced FPS games, I felt this was throwing off my aim a bit. The Elite Series 2 doesn't "jitter" when you use the paddles, probably because they're a bit detached from the unit itself. 3) Maybe it's an issue with my particular unit, but the purple silicone "Match Silencer" faceplate is just different enough sized from the white plastic plate to cause issues. We're probably talking nanometers, but it's enough where my left analog stick can't reach its 100% full tilt in a few places. My movement felt a bit slow in-game, so I checked out the Victrix Control Hub app for calibration, and I couldn't complete the "rotate your analog sticks" test because it wasn't *quite* seeing the full, complete rotational movement.

Got this used very good condition from Amazon warehouse deal and was like new for 53$ The build quality and features are much better than other reviews, also than what I expected. Mapping the back buttons are easy with the software, same for calibrating and running diagnostics on the sticks, triggers and buttons.. using it as main driver on XBSX. The buttons and sticks and triggers work well and I feel like they will last. The build quality is just a step below a standard Xbox controller. Adjusting trigger sensitivity is easy using the buttons and instructions. The back buttons (which can be 2 or 4) are nice and flush on the back like an Xbox series elite 2 and are responsive and there's no sticking or accidentally pressing One or the other. There are 3 audio modes, which are ok, not as good as Turtle beach recon controller but there differences between the 3. Muting is easy to do by pressing the function button 2xs. The function button also allows for adjusting the volume and chat mixer by using the d-pad as well. The feel of the controller in your hand if you use Large size gloves is good and it's not heavy at all. It comes with an extra D pad and a tall stick and a short convex (rounded) stick. As well as a purple rubber face plate..and it also has 2 rings for the sticks to swap (I don't use those).. the vibration works well but I turn off vibration anyways since it's annoying for FPS games and may be bad for your hands/wrists according to research. What was annoying at first but you get used to after a day or 2 are the 2 settings buttons which are normally below and to the side of Guide button are above and to the sides. I would definitely buy at full price if you want a controller with pro features and can't wait for sale or used one for this guy. Oh yeah no stick drift with mine so far.

Let me start by saying I've been using this controller for all kinds of games including Xbox/PC/Competitive/Casual. Breaking this down Good, Bad, Ugly style. Before I get into it I cannot recommend this controller. The market is filled with much better alternatives. Vote with your wallet. PDP now rebranded their "Pro" line to Victrix. This is not a new company. They have been making controllers since 2013+. At the time of writing 12/27/21 the controller has under 100 reviews on Amazon and is $100. The good! The size and shape of the controller is amazing. I never feel like I can wrap my hands comfortably around most xbox controllers as they have elonged grip portions for Ring/pinky/middle finger supper. This controllers size and shape allows you to have good control over the analog sticks no matter how big or small your hands are. The included analog gates for fighting games is awesome! I love the face buttons as they are flat instead of curving to the controller. This is purely personal preference. The controller comes with 2 face plates. One of which is silicone and I never thought I'd like but fell in love with. The triggers are large and contoured to the fingers. The digital trigger locks work well and are easy to use. This controller also comes with a lifetime Dolby atmos subscription that's activated via the controller. (Can not use without the controller plugged in) It's awesome if you wanna mess with the EQ on your Xbox. Same with the hot keys for changing volume/chat. The faceplates magnets hold tight so you don't have to worry about readjusting the placement. The paddles are wonderful. One of the best I've seen they do not feel like they are going tk break or give out any time soon and the placement is perfect especially with swappable paddle sets. Functionally the controller works out of the box and has some nice touches. I really like what they did with the start and select buttons. The bad. The build quality is very poor. I'm talking solo cup plastic poor. I mean I'm emphasizing dollar store Halloween plastic poor. The back side of the controller is a Matt smooth plastic. Easily scratched. No texture. The finish is non existent. I wear a metal band on my left hand and after one day it looked like it had been weathered over years. Putting the controller in its case to keep it safe the extra analog sticks scratched the controller badly. I've seen $10 Walmart Onn brand keyboards with better plastic/build quality. Let alone for this price range is a smack in the face. This same thing goes for the hard plastic faceplate. If you have hardwood. One drop could spell the end of this controller. It's VERY light. Multiple times I have accidently ripped this thing off my desk by readjusting my arm or foot cause I grazed the cable as its only wired. The thumbsticks are horrific. They are smaller than base controller Series S controller or Xbox one controller. They have a terribly thin rubber. I'm being generous when I say rubber. Most accessories don't actually work (joystick extensions/covers/control freek accessories etc) I hope you like the cheap plastic joysticks it came with cause nothing else will work. Any replacement joysticks from Tompsin Metal, plastic will not fit because of clearance. So the joysticks are proprietary to the controller. The Ugly As stated above most accessories won't fit/work with this controller. This is a big issue. For a controller marketing towards modular design even the simplest of things won't fit. From a competitive standpoint it just isn't viable from a casual standpoint it's a waste of money for something that virtually has no durability even for someone who is extremely careful. It's not a question of will you hate it. It's a question of when. The actual analog sensors themselves differ from Microsoft or any other controller. This is because of the "fast" processing of the controller. The digital analog inputs have "adjustable" digital deadzones. This is false advertising. The mechanical input is altered by the controller/software. In no way is it helping it, it's actually working against you. Since the controller is using different sensors it also has an extremely narrow X/Y axis with very little resistance on the springs. Which makes the joystick feel loose, unpredictable, and uncomfortable angles. Furthermore the software for the controller is not compatible with Windows 11, let alone barely functions on windows 10/Xbox. In the software you can adjust deadzones, inputs, etc. The only function that works is volume control wich is more practical and reliable to use the controllers hot keys itself. TLDR On paper the controller seems like a good product. Their is some redeemable qualities in the form of shape/design but that's it. Every other part of the controller is so poorly implemented that I wonder how QA approved this let alone the company in good conscious released this. The competitive aspect and marketing the controller as "fast" is purely a gimmick. It's a overpriced cheap controller that throws "Pro gamer" on the package to justify the $100. $25 bucks and It would be a awesome little toy for children and adults alike if you wanted to try paddles or what features a premium controller can have. Ultimately the product doesn't deliver even a fraction of what it says it does, and what it does deliver is just dissipointing. Save your money. I'm not going to tell you to buy a elite controller or name drop several other brands. As a consumer you genuinely deserve better. I personally feel insulted. I feel like a bought a Ferrari only to find out it's someone's clapped out 99 Civic barely held together. Note to PDP/Victrix I would happily spend the MSRP or MORE if the product was up to par. Build quality. A rubberized backing/grip. Higher quality friction rings hard plastic/smooth/metal? while keeping the gates. Remove the poorly designed analog sticks and add clearence for replacement joysticks for those who like domed or extended sticks since it only comes with 2 sub par quality ones. Higher quality faceplate potentially rubberized and one smooth with a dark option without so much "gamer" branding all over it. I REALLY like the shape and design. If there's a Gambit 2 I would gladly give it another go. This current product is just shameful.
