Best Flat Iron!

I am SO glad I decided to purchase this flat iron! It exceeded my expectations. I've been wanting a new flat iron for quite a while. The one I had before, I had for at least between 10-15 years. It was time for something new. Note: I mainly use my flat iron to curl my hair, not straighten. No lie, I was initially tempted to purchase one of those automatic hair curlers. But I kept seeing reviews about them suddenly not working. Plus the price was a bit much for me. After seeing this one by Hot Tools, and seeing the great reviews...I went with it. Zero regret :) This flat iron is worth every penny and the quality of it, really, surpasses what it costs. The texture of it is smooth to the touch. Lightweight. I love how it's matte black with the bit of 'gold' near the base. This iron is a bit on the longer side but that doesn't bother me a bit. The cord is LONG! Something cool about this iron - near the base it has a little sliding switch that allows you to lock and unlock the clamps of the iron. You can lock it, which keeps the clamps close together, but there is a tiny gap between the two. Then unlock when you want to use it. This feature helps with it not taking up too much room! Every other flat iron I've had never had this feature. The power button is on the inner side, between the clamps. And no exaggeration...this thing heats up FAST. I'm talking not even 30 seconds. You can easily switch between temps by turning the very bottom of the base, which is practically a dial. It remembers the last temp you used; so even if the dial gets turned around, when you turn the iron back on it is at the last temp you used. In the instruction manual it shows the best temps to use on your hair type - I found that to be very useful. This iron is just great. It's lightweight, sleek. Easy to use. Like I said, I use flat irons to curl my hair - not straighten. But I find this iron gliding effortlessly through my hair, leaving me with beautiful curls. The ONLY thing that took me some time getting used to was that since the very base is the dial that turns to control the temp, I kept placing my hand there to hold the iron, causing the dial to turn. So I have to keep reminding myself to move my hand further up to prevent this from happening. Almost used to it now. So yes. Get this flat iron. It's worth every penny. I'm so glad I got this instead of the other one(s). Gives me great curls! Also cool how it comes with a heat protectant glove.

Absolutely worth the money and I’d definitely recommend it. If you’re on the fence, just buy it. My hair has a mixed texture and tends to be naturally dry, wavy, and frizzy. This straightener works better than anything I’ve used before! It smooths and straightens my hair effortlessly. A heat protectant spray is a must, and I love that it comes with a glove, which is especially helpful if you want to use it as a curler. It heats up to 455°F in about two minutes, which is incredibly fast. I was also skeptical about the 1.25-inch size because it didn’t seem wide enough for my thick, unruly hair, but it’s actually perfect as designed. It's actually pretty sleek and I can pack it in my purse to travel. I’ve had no issues with the placement of the heat knob either. It's easy to grip as well. I finally retired my old Conair straightener for this one, and my only regret is not switching sooner. Hands down the best straightener I’ve ever owned. Try it for yourself!! I’ve been using this flat iron consistently for almost a year now, about 3 times a week, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best beauty tools I’ve ever invested in. For context, I have naturally 2c/3a hair — a mix of waves and curls — but I prefer to wear it straight. I actually had my hairstylist choose this for me when I asked for the best straightener under $300, and this is what she recommended. The performance has been incredible. It heats up in under 10 seconds, and I can straighten my entire head in about 15 minutes. That’s faster than my blow-drying time, which honestly surprised me. What really stands out is how well it maintains results. Once I straighten my hair, it stays smooth and straight until my next wash — no constant touch-ups needed. Even better, my stylist regularly comments on how healthy my hair looks. Bought as a gift for a young girl beginning to style her own hair. This had good reviews and a fair price point. It seems like such great quality. It has held up great after almost a year of use. Still gets just as hot as it did when she opened it. It has a lock setting to keep it closed if you want that. Maybe for travel, I’m not really sure. There are good heat seatings to choose from. Nice display. The handle makes it easy to hold without slippage during use. The young girl uses it as a traditional flat iron and has also learned how to do curls. Controls frizz. Would recommend this over some of the more expensive brands!

This is an excellent flat iron. No snags, it’s nice and smooth and also gives a beautiful curl. It gets full temp within minutes and even beeps to tell you it’s ready. My only complaint is the location of the temp dial, it’s right at the end and is very easy to accidentally turn up or down while curling. Other than that this flat iron is too notch and very sleek looking.

The BEST flat iron I’ve ever used!

With my thick, coarse, frizz-prone, processed & colored, wavy hair, just below the shoulder blades length hair, I have gone through & have tried numerous flat irons in my attempt to get the smoothest straight styles & curled styles & always assumed that I would not be able to achieve even better results than I was getting. I had previously purchased this flat iron for my daughter a couple Christmas’s ago to straighten her lower back length, coarse, extra thick, wavy hair & had always loved how smooth & shiny her hair would turn out after using this flat iron but never thought to try it on myself as I always assumed the results were pretty much due to her hair being healthier combined with the heat protectant spray we used. I, personally, was using the HSI Professional Glider Ceramic flat iron & was starting to get discouraged with the results I was getting lately; I mean, it worked but it was taking more swipes through my hair to get smoother results so after straightening her hair the last time & loving the results, I decided to get one for myself & give it a shot. I was BLOWN AWAY!!! Where had this been all my life?? I’ve only used it once to do my whole head & I am just absolutely impressed! This flat iron; at half the cost of the HSI is a game changer for me. Here’s why: 1. It’s a 1-1/4” width so it takes less time to do my hair; seriously, I noticed a remarkable difference between this & my 1” one. 2. Only 1 swipe & I get the smoothest, sleekest styles that last so long that my hair looks professionally straightened for going on the 3rd day now & I have worked out & sweat as well & I didn’t use any different hair products either. It’s SO nice just brushing it through, doing a very minor touch up on my short bangs which always get messed up & going on with my day, looking as if I had fully straightened my hair again which is prone to getting waves in it after sleeping & sweating. 3. The cost is amazing when you compare results to other higher end brands. 4. It feels really good to hold & glides effortlessly. 5. The extra long cord with the swivel feature is cool & I like the features on it. So bottom line, if you’re on the fence on whether or not to get this flat iron, DO IT! Honestly, I will never buy another brand of flat iron again.
