We recently welcomed a new puppy into our home much to the delight of everyone except our 12 year old lady puppy who looked at us as if to ask, “What the heck?!” She is already an anxious gal and her consternation over a flying beastie who lunges at her with little dagger-like teeth sent her spiraling into a frenzy of anxiety-induced foot licking. This led to her poor paw becoming red, raw, and hairless overnight. After a trip to our vet to make sure this was caused by anxiety and not by an underlying medical condition, we implemented a multistep plan to give our best girl her space, our devoted attention, and treatment for her sore paw. Our plan worked beautifully and this Hot Spot spray was a great ally in our strategy to provide comfort and care. Our dog’s skin was raw, but she did not seem to experience any stinging or discomfort when I applied this 4 times a day. The spray contains Quantum Silver and several plant extracts which are pet safe, so we did not have to worry about our pup licking her treated paw which she did after the first couple of applications. I am impressed by how quickly her skin returned to normal. A combination of a lavish escape room where no puppy can enter, extra love and favorite treats, and regular application of her Hot Spot spray helped our girl find her equilibrium and feel better-even about the new addition. I have a Maltese who likes to drag her bottom until it is raw. I have taken her to the vet. She has been expressed. She has been checked for worms and other parasites but continues to rub it everywhere. I have tried everything to keep these and other areas from irritation. This spray seems to be helping.
