I was looking for a portable stove that would get hot enough for fried fish to get crispy. There are about a dozen with 1500w power. I chose this Techwood stove for a few reasons. First, it has handles! (I find it very strange that only two out of the dozen stoves have handles) Second, it is the least expensive of all of them. Third, it does get to 400 degrees so you can pan fry or deep fry your fish. However it takes around fifteen minutes or so to reach that temperature, so be patient. I have used it several times now and am happy to report that my fish has turned out scrumptious! If you're looking for a portable stove, I highly recommend the Techwood line. The company stands behind its products and will provide excellent support if you need it.

This double burner was worth the price! I have been buying cheaper ones that stop working after a few months of everyday use. I love how wide it is, I can have two pans side to side with room in between. The side handles are a great safety feature. It just makes sense to have these handles for moving the burner around when it's hot. The power control knobs are a bit strange, that is one feature that could be improved on. With that being said, I just love this double burner! It really is easy to clean, especially when I compare it to the other burners I've had. Sense we are living off grid, the wattage usage is low enough to not affect our power! That is important, my last burner used 1800watts. This one uses 1500watts! Overall, this was a great buy for our off grid household!

Used about 10 times so far and would recommend - great for small spaces! Pros - easy to use and clean - big burner heats up fast! - perfect size! We're using in a small kitchenette and it's easy and light enough to store and pull out for use when we need it. Cons - really smelly the first time you use it. Instructions have you heat it up with no pots/pans the first time - definitely do this and make sure room is ventilated! - takes a long time to cool down.... a LONG time. -small burner takes awhile to heat up if using small burner on its own.

Always a good thing to have on hand especially in these times of turmoil. Was very pleased how well it worked on boiling water which is a deal breaker on other ones we have purchased and returned. You cannot cook many foods without boiling water. Many complain that they cannot boil water on these burners, but the "tip" if you want your water to boil "PUT A LID ON IT!' It will be boiling in a matter of minutes. Have only used this one time so far, but hoping it is an item that when needed will be working as great as it did when we first tried it.

Got this cast iron top hotplate to sear some foods outside on the back lanai/porch, after sous vide cooking. Previously, the kitchen would get smoky and oily from the aerosolized oils that flies out of the cast iron pan I use for searing. Previously, I purchased a secondhand induction hotplate, but it kept shutting down because it couldn't sustain the high cooking temps I needed for searing without overheating. This nice little item seems like it will do the job nicely.

I was originally hesitant to get this because a few people had trouble boiling water. We are living in the basement during a remodel and my son's staple food is noodles. Happy to report that I have had zero trouble boiling water, making curry, or frying eggs. Not sure what why others had a problem, perhaps they were watching the pot.

We are going to be sans kitchen for the next two months but we have a partial kitchen in our basement. The only thing it doesn't have is a stove top (or a dishwasher sadly) so we decided that we needed one to be able to cook meals fully during our down time. When we received the product we got so excited at how nice it is. We took it outside to cook off the manufacturing smell for 10 minutes and my husband realized it also fits perfectly with our outside grill. Now we know we will have a use for it even after the kitchen remodel. The two burners are nicely spaced apart so you can boil a pot of water for pasta and another pot for spaghetti sauce at the same time with sufficient heat.

I bought this because we are renovating and changing out appliances. We ordered appliances in February and it’s April now and we should be receiving our microwave/oven today and our stove next Saturday lol. So knowing this back then I had to buy an electric stove to use in the meantime. I think it’s done pretty well at getting the job done. Heats up great. It’s not the same obviously as a kitchen stove but it’s worth buying.
