UPDATE March 2025. Was great until it stopped working in less than 10 uses. I have this in my RV so it’s not used regularly. On trip in early March is when problems set in. Will start off heating ok but then will not heat up to the set cooking level. Very disappointed and now looking for another one after owning it for less than 3 months. *************** When out traveling in my RV kitchen space is very limited and I keep my air fry oven on top of the burner cover. In the summer months in Nevada, the last thing I want to do is heat up the inside of my RV using the gas burners. I put this burner out in my outdoor "kitchen" set up (next to my amazing Ninja Woodfire Grill) and use it for heating up soup and making breakfast. I didn't want to go with digital type as I worry about durability. I prefer to have the dial to adjust the temperature. Yes, it does take some time to get used to adjusting the temperature but that's really not any different from any burner on a gas or electric stove. Take your time, watch your food and you'll be comfortable with this burner in no time at all.

I have to admit that I often use things in ways that were not intended. This is one of those. I bought it because I did not want to scratch up my new stove top, because I want it to look like new when I sell my house in a few months. When I first got this hot plate, I hated it, because I couldn't tell when it was shut off. After it is shut off. the cooling fan keeps running until the unit cools down. That completely makes sense, but because the on/off control is a bit hard to understand, it seems like it is still turned on when it is just the cooling fan running. It at first also seemed to not heat up very quickly. I'm still not sure about that, but I boiled some eggs, and it seemed to get the water up to a boil in a reasonable amount of time. It is definitely not as fast as my new stove, but I believe it is pretty fast and good for a hot plate.

Works well. It heats up quickly. It does have a humming sound as it heats up. The problem I had was the power in my apartment would go out each time I used it. That is the only reason I to return it.

Bought this because it worked on all my pots , easy to clean and of course the price . , it takes a long time to cool down after turning it off and the fan is loud , it also seems to cook at the same temperature no matter if you turn it down to #1. I did not return because I missed the deadline. I definitely do not recommend this product !
