I’ve been using this hair dryer since September 2023, about three times a week, and I’m still impressed with its performance. After all this time, it’s only just starting to lose a few bristles, which speaks to how well it has held up. This has been an incredible value for the money. My hair has honestly never looked healthier, and even my stylist has commented on how healthy and smooth it looks. I have naturally coarse, wavy hair, and this tool has been an absolute game changer. This is an amazing tool but maybe not for everybody
Okay so first things first. I have a ton of very fine 2b-3a hair with the vast majority of the tightest curls being in the under 1/3 of my hair and it getting less and less curly as you work your way to the surface. This is due to years of damage from highlighting my hair and swimming in a pool. And because my hair is so erratic I've never been able to perfect a curly method and usually just give it a quick blowout and call it a day. But for me a quick blowout is normally a 40 minute process if I'm trying to use a round brush and a blow dryer because of how dense my curls are. And that's just a giant PITA. I don't like perfect looking hair. Healthy shiny pretty hair, yes but I don't enjoy anything that looks overly styled. I'm in my 40s and rarely wear makeup during the day ( My apologies for not wearing any in this video either 🤫) so DONE hair would look silly on me. But I also have a giant mop of hair that unless I blow dry it makes me look like a crazy bird lady. So, I'm always on the lookout for a hair hack and for ME....This is it. Obviously the Dyson is the holy Grail but I refuse to spend $500 on a blow dryer I've been on a bit of a quest to find a tool or a method that can shorten my blow dry time and leave me content with the result. I've tried them ALLLLLL and honestly that Revlon big black and hot pink blow dryer brush had been my go-to up until now. But it was getting old and my hair always smelt like burning and as my bob grows out I was no longer getting as much body from it cuz the brush head is so big. Sooooooo... I tried this. And I have to say I love it. If you have a lot of hair you have to know that the soft nylon bristles on this are not deep enough to brush all the way through the hair to the scalp. Sometimes they're not even deep enough to grab the section of hair I'm working with but when that happens I just make the section a little smaller and we're good to go. But because of that you're never going to get a perfectly sleek curl if you have hair with natural texture or live in an area with a lot of humidity. It's just hard to get a really taught pull near the root with these bristles. But I don't WANT a perfectly sleek curl. I'm just looking for the hair to be smooth and not dull and prickly at the ends. I love having all this bounce and movement. And this is great for that. I try to not use the brush until my hair is about 50% air dried and if I do that it probably takes me about 7 minutes to give myself the blowout that you see in this video. That saves a lot of time for me. I don't wear it the way I initially look in the video ,that was right after I took the clips out from blow drying and letting it cool. But it's flippy and it's sleek and it's big and it's bouncy and it's shiny and it holds a nice curl and I really really recommend this if you're okay with there being a tiny bit more natural texture near the root than if you were to get a really good blowout at the salon. If you have thin or straighter hair you probably wouldn't have any issue with this. I would imagine if you have longer hair you could probably get some good piecey movement at the bottom. I think that especially at this price point this curling blow dryer brush thingy is a great buy

I have short curly hair. I LOVE this brush. So easy to use, great results, no frizz for a couple of days. Two brush sizes easy change. Not noisy, two heat settings. Excellent product, highly recommend!

my favorite hair tool

So I hate having to style my hair. I am 66 with very fine and thin hair. I feel that hair drying just makes my hair look even dryer than it always feels. So I try to keep it one length and just air dry. But lately that has been feeling frompy and a bit old lady looking. Recently I got a new shorter stylish cut that requires styling after washing. I went in search of a tool that would make this easy. And I love this one! So after reading some of the reviews that left me wondering if I would just end up unhappy with this, I felt I needed to share my enthusiasm for this dryer/styler. Some people said the top doesn’t detach or easily. I did not find this to be the case. It pops off easily with just a bit of a pull. Also I use the top off as a blow dryer to dry and lift the root of my hair, then I pop on the top and use the roller brush to dry and style at the same time. You need to work in sections when using the roller brush. For me with above shoulder length hair it works easily and quickly. I mostly use the low heat setting and I am careful not to over dry and not hold the roller dryer part in place for more than a couple of seconds or so. It gives lift and smooths at the same time, and definitely adds body to my hair. Not sure if this styler would compliment all types of hair but for mine it’s a big YES.

Not what I expected

I just got this and dont even have to try it out...the 3 speed/heat combo buttons wont do for me. The one is just a fan but blows hard...too hard for what should be a low speed on the lowest no heat setting...would blow my fine hair all over on the only setting that is not hot so useless for me. The middle one is low speed but very hot so too hot for my fine gray hair. The high heat and high speed I could never use either...very hot and too high speed which would fry my hair even more. Unfortunately I will return it. I wish it had a cool button also but doesnt. I am trying to find a 1 1/2" ROUND blower brush with 2 speeds AND 3 heat settings AND a cool shot button of decent quality. So far no luck...everything is either too big around or an oval shape. Someone needs to make one like that which I used to have that died.

Not for my shorter, thin hair

I purchased both the oval and round hair dryer blowout brushes because I didn't know which one would work for my hair. I have thin hair but lots of it and it's starting to gray so it tends to be dryer. My hair is only about chin length and it's important to me that it doesn't plaster down on my head. I used heat protection on my hair when using these products. In the picture #1 is my original hair dryer blowout brush that I was replacing. #2 Is the round brush. #3 Is the oval brush. Here are the results after testing each of these products. #1 I'm replacing my very old Revlon hair dryer blowout brush because it gets way too HOT! It burns me and my hair. #2 The round brush had great temperature and speed control but grabbed my hair. I tried it several times but after feeling like I was loosing too much hair to the brush I had to give up and decided that this brush isn't for me. #3 The oval brush has the same great temperature and speed controls but unfortunately it's not made for short hair. It's difficult to hold short hair and when you're done you're left with flat lifeless hair :-(. Again I had to admit that this brush also wasn't the one for me. So it's back to the drawing board. I'll be looking for a round brush that has the teeth of the Revlon, so it doesn't tangle, but the temperature and speed controls of these brushes.

Dries and styles my hair in one step!

I’m really happy with this hair dryer brush! It dries my hair much faster than using a regular blow dryer and leaves it smooth, soft, and with great volume. It’s lightweight, easy to hold, and simple to use, even if you’re not great at styling your hair. I also like that it doesn’t make my hair look frizzy. For the price, the quality is excellent. I’ve used it several times already, and it has worked perfectly every time. I would definitely recommend it!
