Charging can take awhile but I just charge it right after I use is so its all ready for next time. I have fine hair so I would imagine if your hair is thicker you we need to section and take longer. Great little hair straightener at a decent. Does a good job and travels great. One drawback, it doesn't hold a charge very long. I have short hair and only use it for a few minutes each time. Then it's ready to be charged again. Not sure if I would buy it again if I had known this before my purchase.

This overall is a decent purchase and worked for my trip. But the battery life is nonexistent. Even for me who only used it to fix my bangs, the amount of time it takes to heat up is so long that by the time I can use it for all of 5-7 mins it’s almost dead. Luckily I would charge it when I would leave my hotel so it wasn’t that big of a deal but definitely a little annoying.
