  • Asus Quality X570 at a Decent Price!
Style: X570-PLUS|M.2 x2|WIFI
Great Quality Board. Seems to be very picky with what DDR4 it will work with.. make sure to only get specific parts from the manufacturer's QVL. I went through a nightmare cause it wouldn't boot after i finished my build, luckily the motherboard has leds that let you know more or less what is not working properly. In my case the DRAM LED indicated there was an issue going on there, finally tried some G.Skill DDR4s that were on the QVL and worked flawlessly after that. I have this paired with a Ryzen 5 3600X | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 3600Mhz 16GB Kit 2x8 | Evga RTX 2070 XC. I can game perfectly fine at 4k Ultra at an average 50fps and up depending on the game. Overall i dont see any reason to spend more on more expensive motherboards, this has all the latest bells and whistles like on those more expensive ones. In any case your PC won't boot and the MB is showing the DRAM LED and no display or post, try the following and it will fix the issue 99.9% of the time: 1. Turn off PC. 2. Switch Off PSU and unplug Power Cable. 3. Try using an antistatic bracelet to prevent damage. 4. Find the CMOS Battery on the Motherboard and gently remove it. 5. Leave PC resting for about an hour, then put CMOS Battery back on and connect everything. 6. Power back on and it should boot now that Bios is Reset. ... show more

  • Finally A Motherboard that works!
Style: X570-PLUS|M.2 x2|WIFI
Long story short, this was my fourth motherboard in a string of three others (other brands and models but all x570s) that were DOA. I have this up and running for over a week and it is performing as it should. It is the only one of the group that is WiFi capable which is a feature I do not need/use. Irony, right? It has the features I was looking for, but it would have been better if it had two 3-pin addressable headers for RGB devices. The second NVMe slot comes with a heat spreader/sink but since my drives already have their own, I had to leave it off the build. Not a big deal. I use air cooling so the thoughtful headers for AIO type cooling are nice to have if I ever decide to make the switch. Compared to the other three fails (2 MSI and 1 other ASUS) this is a solid performer and handles my Ryzen 7 5800X with 32 Gigs of Corsair Vengeance RAM with no problems. The BIOS is easy enough to navigate and allowed me to set things as I wanted them. I am not an overclocker. It does have a small RGB light on the back of the board which makes for a subtle display inside my all white case. I have not yet explored if that can be turned off. It does stay on with the PC off. I have to switch the power supply off to have these lights off. But again, I have not explored other options, such as in the BIOS, to have them turn off when the PC shuts off. It is no big deal for me, but perhaps it might be for you. I am just happy to have a board that actually works! It is the heart of my new gaming rig. I went with a MSI RX6700XT and paired it all with a nice LG 32" 165Hz 2K monitor and I never knew how great my games looked until this setup was operational. I upgraded from a 10+ year-old rig running a FX6100 and a 1050Ti - I know, a museum piece. I love the new speed and power this board affords me. I am a happy gamer. I hope you are as well! ... show more

  • Good Mobo with a caveat
Style: X570-PLUS|M.2 x2|WIFI
So this motherboard has all i need plus some nice additions. The wifi and bluetooth both work great. it actually greatly improved the bluetooth i had in my last build using an adapter. In case you are like me and are wondering, it also comes with two M.2 screws for the nmve drive if you have one, just look for them well inside the box. Everything is sturdy and all my pieces fit well. 8 sata ports is nice but one problem though is that half the of them are covered by the GPU, so those are not usable, thats ok as i still have a few to spare as i am only using two plus an M.2 disk but still an oversight. The ram slots are also pretty close to the cpu, i use an AMD fan cooler and in upright position it would cover one of the ram slots so wouldn-t be able to place one on that dimm. I placed it upside down and still is packed tight, if i put a ram in that dimm it would probably be making contact tightly with the fan piece so was not a problem for me but keep it in mind if you have a big cooler in there, it might cover the whole thing. Overall i am pretty happy with it. ... show more

  • Great Value for Gaming
Style: X570-PLUS|M.2 x2|WIFI
I got into AM4 platform at the tail end of the socket life as the AM5 transition is happening. Coming over from Intel sockets, I am amazed at how long AMD sockets can last and the value of keeping a quality MB. I got a used Zen 2 CPU from a friend upgrading to the latest AM4 CPU. Their new build easily keeps up with the latest Intel. I was able to put together a very decent build thanks as AM4 MBs are still around and thus cheap. Unlike going into used Intel CPUs which can have more recent MBs but since the chipsets only support ~2 generations they are quickly out of date and the price starts increasing. Combined with cheap DDR4 prices, it is a great time to build a mid-high tier rig. I would definitely be getting AMD for my next build as well if they keep with the long support in AM5 and beyond. Regarding this board specifically, I feel that the TUF series is a more than decent board for gaming needs and provided more than enough VRMs for even high end CPUs without getting into the expense of the ROG series. I had no issues with RAM compatibility and the BIOS was already 5000 series ready when I got it (even if I'm not there yet). There are a few minor nitpicks that I hope Asus can improve on: 1) Why does the top M.2 slot not have a heat sink? Even many high end NVMe SSDs can come without heat sinks. I understand that the lower one is via chipset and always PCIe 4.0 whereas the top is CPU dependent and can be PCIe 3.0 for older CPUs but it can be PCIe 4.0 and run hot. 2) I understand that the X570 chipset runs hotter and most MBs use active cooling. For longevity, a larger heatsink would have been better. I tend towards higher airflow case layout so there would be plenty of air. 3) More accessible WiFi card. The WiFi is actually a M.2 2230 slot hidden in the IO shield. I would prefer to see MB OEMs make that more accessible so it can be upgraded to WiFi 6 and beyond. Especially as AMD sockets have longer support life. 4) Second USB 3.0 / USB-C front panel connector. I understand this is a value board but I feel like there could have been less SATA ports in exchange for front USB-C port. 8 SATA is overkill for gaming focused MB. 5) WiFi Antenna falls over. My prior Asus MB's WiFi antenna had a magnetic base and this seems not to. 6) Since GPUs are so huge now, I would really like to see the second PCIe x16 slot to be even further down as it is usually inaccessible. This is a common issue in most MB designs. Again, my issues are minor nitpicks and common to many other MB designs (eg. hidden WiFi, blocked PCIe slots due to massive GPUs). As such, really only dropping a star for the lack of front USB-C, bad WiFi antenna design, and lack of M.2 heatsink. The fact that WiFi/BT can be upgraded was a surprise to me and something that should be advertised. ... show more

  • AMD 5000 series approved. Cool and efficient. AMD 5000 series approved. Cool and efficient.
Style: X570-PLUS|M.2 x2|WIFI
I was a little worried after I got the box. It did not advertise AMD 5000 series. Looking at the information on the website it also suggested it may need a bios flash. This model does not support flashing the BIOS using AMD's processorless system. Yet it advertised it at the top of the page on Amazon. So I was nervous going into the build. I can confirm that the BIOS revision included here supports it perfectly fine. I installed an AMD 5800z with no issues. Booted perfectly fine. Temperatures in the case are great after the install. No issue hooking any of the connectors up. If I was going to complain about anything here it's the software downloads from ASUS's website. They don't have everything in one package. Everything you need is half hidden in different categories. Also the cabling for the included Wi-Fi antenna is not very long. Maybe only about 3 ft. Other than that I'm very satisfied. Performance seems excellent. Efficiency is really good. Overall really happy with the board. This motherboard series from AMD produces a little less heat than many of the other 570 models. That's a huge plus. ... show more
