Very happy so far. It was easy to put together. But installing on your truck you’ll want 2 people and I would recommend using tape on your roof to limit any scratches. But overall it turned out great and looks amazing. I haven’t wired the lights yet so idk if those are decent or not.

Ordered this for my 2014 Ram 1500 sport as I found a need to carry long stuff that my shirt bed alone couldn’t accommodate. It comes in pieces and takes a while to assemble. But it goes together easy enough. When it came time to mount it to the truck I decided against using the metric hardware it came with. Instead I used my own 1/4-20 nutserts and stainless steel button head bolts and washers to attach it with. I’m quite happy with the rack and it goes great with my Hooke Road bumpers ... show more

The roof rack was decent enough, but the curves did not match the roof line. Some quick grinding fixed that. Also the bolts for the side lights are too long, and WILL scratch the roof, if you don't cut them down. I was getting a bit of vibration from the rack, but adding a rubber strip fixed that. Scary to install if you dont already have holes for it. I was totally scared and still am but got heavy rain here the next day and I dont see any leaks yet. As for drilling the holes dont be like ne and follow the instructions. It says to make the holes with a 9mm gun,but that was to loud and hole was to big for the rivet nuts that came with the kit. Just use a good step drill bit and take your time. ... show more

Nice rack. Assembles well, fairly simple. Mounting is another story because you have to drill holes in your roof lol. Take your time, make your marks correctly and it will all good smoothly. You can set the rivnuts with a longer bolt and extra screws, but I went to harbor freight and paid $50 for an actual tool. I’ll use it elsewhere. If there are any negatives, the only I see are 1) the side light bolts are too long. Like another reviewer stated, they WILL hit the roof. 2) the front lights that come with it work just fine but the Mount system is weird. The lights in my picture on the front were purchased elsewhere, the ones in the back are the ones supplied. It took me a few hours to assemble, wire the lights, and mount it. The only help I had was to sit it in place to mark holes ,take it off, set the rivnuts, then put it back. Order it, it’s much cheaper than a clamp on roof system. ... show more

Powder coating is decent what's not is the packaging. Heavy plastic bags and some tiny thin styrofoam sheet is not proper for any kind of shipping with this much weight. Multiple chips and gouges on every surface. One of the brackets for the side LED was bent, fortunately because of the thin gauge steel it was easy to bend back in shape. I was already planning on stripping it and powder coating it at a local shop. And hilariously the ad says minor drilling, however you have to drill eight holes in your roof of your truck. I've used crushed nuts in the past it doesn't bother me that I have to drill a hole in the roof of my truck but the ad could have been clear about what you have to do. Not every single one of these is sold is to a Tacoma owner who has mounting brackets already installed on the truck from the factory. And as much as the Amazon ad and Hooke Road's website would lead you to believe this is not an American company this is a Chinese product that's more than likely drop shipped. ... show more

Would be a 5 star, if it were standard parts.. The one I received required "9MM" (yes I said 9mm) bolts / screw to assemble. Had to take it to a professional installation shop to get this thing on correctly, (charged me more for install than product's sale price), two weeks later, we had a rain, and it leaked inside my truck, (super angry). The rack works well and is compatible with all of my storage containers and gear totes. The light system is the crown jewel of this item. It works amazingly. Good clean clear lighting that provides superior visibility in the field even during inclement weather. With proper installation, I would recommend this product as a buy! ... show more
