There is no inner button to attach to the button hole - basically, it appears designed to button on either side of the outside button. 2 button holes on both ends with no inner button to give a nice finished look. So, I am not thrilled - I guess it actually looks best open with you hands in your pants or jacket pocket. I do like the fabric and overall it fits okay.
