Let me start by saying I’ve had my Fusion for over a decade, and since I first bought it, I always hated the hood release. It felt cheap, and like it could break at any time. Well, it took 12 years, but it finally snapped. I had visions of having to pay hundreds of dollars to get it replaced by a professional.
