I really wanted to like these but ultimately had to return them. They were really time consuming to put together and the leg pieces did not all line up properly. In addition, once assembled they were way too narrow to be stable and tipped easily. We have kids at home and didn't want to risk a fall! We needed a couple of stools in an “emergency” to accommodate everyone. I read a ton of reviews for simple barstools. This set has the best reviews. Not many. Not perfect. But seemed to be good enough. They needed to be assembled, but one imagines four long legs and horizontal supports for each stool. Nope. Each stool leg was in two pieces with a Mickey Mouse joining system. It really didn’t join them, they merely fit side by side then screwed together. They were screwed together in only one place with one screw. Then attached to seat. Need I mention how unstable they are? Wobbly. The seat amazingly uncomfortable. I didn’t expect much because it’s flat wood, but we have other wood barstools that have only slight curvature, but are sized to fit an adult. So we know what it’s like to sit on wood. The seats are only one inch thick with squared edges. Just to be clear, husband and I have little, nicely worked out behinds. There’s no sizing issue here. The frosting on the cake though is that every piece has a 1/2” round white sticker on it (numbered to ID pieces), and they are smacked on with old fashioned glue. The kind you can’t get off to save your soul. Also the set was 3 screws short, and several didn’t fit in the pre drilled holes. These are a disaster, even for the cheap money. When I spend less, do I lose the right to have something that is at least functions properly? If I spend less, does that mean I should have those nasty stickers requiring using a knife to scrape each one off, scratching each location? There have been warnings about using Temu, Ali Baba, and that other company (is it Schiel?) because of cheap products. If they are any cheaper than what’s been coming from Amazon this last year, yikes. ... show more

I know they are inexpensive but both chairs broke in two weeks. Completely unsafe and wobbly. The screws would also just pop out.

These bar stools are not sturdy at all and do not support adults. They would be fine if only smaller children sat on them, but any adult over 140lbs could easily fall over with how wobbly the stools are. You barely sit on them and you can feel them wobbling around.
