I have had a couple of these fans. When my small (other brand) tower fan quit working, I knew that I wanted a a Honeywell Quietset to replace it. One of my favorite features is that a few seconds after you set your fan the control panel lights turn off. No harsh lights shining into your eyes at night. This truly is a quiet fan. It is nice to have different fan speed levels. The lowest speed and at times the next one up are ideal for sleeping. You can also put on the timer, so after you are sound asleep the fan will turn off. My only complaint is that the fan is very top heavy. It can be too easy to knock the fan over. The base is very lightweight and seems fragile. I had one break on my first Quietset fan, rendering the fan useless. Perhaps there is a way to make the bottom sturdier, heavier and thereby steadier. The Honeywell Quietset is a great fan. Moves air efficiently, takes up little space, no bright lights that stay on, timer to auto-shutoff, and whisper quiet.     • Used 8hrs a nite x 21 months before noise issue

I like to sleep with the sound of a fan when possible....always have. But my wife...not so much a fan of a a fan. This fan was a good compromise for us to keep the peace and provide peaceful night's sleep for 21 months. The fan looks great, fits nicely in the bedroom, and provides enough quiet sound and air flow at low settings. It oscillates and has remote if needed. But after running 8hrs + every night/ day for 21 months it developed a buzzing sound from the motor. I took it all apart, cleaned all the lint out to verify. It was a 5 star up to that point...minus 1 star for durability. But, I did buy another one just like it to replace it. The old one is really too noisy to keep...RIP, and now it's watch has ended. ... show more

I have purchased three and been pleased, although the most recent one seems to make a bit more noise, kind of a rattling sound, than the other two. But it works just fine. I wanted a white tower fan which automatically limits the options. I do like the look of this and it’a not too noisy. The features are great- lights turn off after making your selection, timer, oscillating or not, speed (I don’t use the remote). My only complaint is unless your under 9 feet directly in front of it, it doesn’t seem to make a difference. It can cool a person but it definitely doesn’t cool a room. ... show more

I love the options for cooling and the remote. IT is very quiet. At highest speed and cooling, it just isn't hugely impactful unless you are within five feet of it.

Love this fan and the different speeds so you can adjust it according to how hot or cold you are. I like that you can have it circulate all over the room or just in one particular spot. This fan is very nice looking and extremely quiet! The only downside is that the air isn't as cold as I expected. But since it takes up very little space and is quiet I would definitely purchase it again.

Fan works well. The stand looks pretty in the picture but in person it is kind of flimsy/cheap feeling. The fan does work well and has a nice and slow oscillation. I wish the remote used a slim D battery.
