I got this more my elderly mother who has a hard time with turning lamp knobs. I put it beside her bed so she can use it overhead to read or soft warm light for relaxing before bed. It does get very bright and it’s easy for her to just side her finer across the top to turn on/off and adjust the light brightness and warmth. She loves it. It’s very sleek and modern (doesn’t really go with her “Silent Generation” style) but she’s happy with it so that’s all that matters to me. Oh and it’s bendable so she can turn it over to use as a room filling light (which isn’t hard, it’s bright!) or bend to whatever she needs. That was a bonus. Helps her distinguish black and blue socks in her drawer next to her bed. I’d say the price wasn’t an issue with all the things this thing can do and how it made her so happy. She reads books everyday and it’s perfect for that as well, she said she now needs more books to read now she has proper reading light. I’d venture to say this would be great in a craft room. Sewing room, kids room even. Would buy another if I find a space. Great find! ... show more

The light is beautiful and easy to assemble. As advertised, it truly is flicker-free—I tested it myself. My only wish is that it could be a bit brighter at the maximum setting. So far, it has no trouble replacing a 60W light source, but something equivalent to 100W would be ideal.

This floor lamp does a great job where it counts it's bright, stable, and super easy to position thanks to the flexible neck. The base is surprisingly heavy, which I appreciate since it doesn't wobble at all. The different light settings are also a nice touch I like switching between warm and cool tones depending on whether I’m relaxing or doing focused work. The only hiccup is the placement of the touch controls. They’re located right on top of the lamp head, so if you’re sitting down, it’s a bit awkward to reach and easy to accidentally tap the wrong setting. Not a dealbreaker, but a side-mounted button or remote would have made this nearly perfect. Still, I’m really happy with the overall quality and performance. ... show more
