We had an old 2 wire manual thermostat that was probably older than I am (think mercury therm on it and all) this installed SUPER easy. It's compact and simple to operate. Item did not work correctly right out of the box. I bought this for my mother because I had the exact same one in my house and I love it. The heat was the only function that would work at first. But after I let it set for a couple hours the cooling and the auto cycle both started working.... Not sure what's up with it but I definitely didn't put it on my mom's house so I won't have to get a call in the middle of night asking why her heat or Air does not work. Spend the extra 10 to 20 bucks and get the brand new one.... ... show more
