  • What a Relief - Works great
Style: Wireless Doorbell Plug-in w/Push Button ...
I have a Ring 4 doorbell and when the router had to be replaced it quit working. Cannot get it to Pair. 2 hours on the phone with RING and they cannot even figure it out. They ended up saying they would investigate and call back. That was 2 weeks ago. I decided to get something a bit more low tech! I love, Love, LOVE this doorbell because it worked great right out of the box. No set up other than putting the battery in! No pairing, just use it. Many choices for sound which I like. Some have complained but if you are hard of hearing (as my husband is) then the choices are great. It's loud enough to alert you even in a big house. I could not be happier to have an actual doorbell again. ... show more

  • Very nice simple doorbell that doesn't require a wire. Easy to set up. Only complaint is that some of the sounds are annoying.
Style: Wireless Doorbell Plug-in w/Push Button ...
One of my hobbies over the past year has been turning my house in to a smart home. I was looking at a bunch of the different options for different "smart" doorbells and wasn't really impressed, I didn't want something with a camera, and there was nothing that didn't have one. I also was hesitant to run a wire for a traditional wired doorbell. This turned out to be a happy medium for both sides. It is wireless so I didn't have to drill through a foot of brick to set this up, which I appreciate. It doesn't connect to my smart home system, but I'm actually more okay with that than I was expecting to be, the doorbell works really well. ----------------------------------------------------------- Here are the things I like about this product: - It is very easy to set up, even with additional pushbuttons (I have one button on both of my two doors). I set it up so that the front door has a more traditional tone, and the back door has a different tone. The speaker I have has six tones, and I only like two of them, but I'll talk about that more later. The setup process took me less than 10 minutes from unboxing to having everything installed and working. Very easy and the instructions were clear. - 100% reliable. I haven't had this not work yet (had it for two months), it is as reliable as a wired doorbell, and with a supposed long battery life, I hope it will stay that way. - You can set different tones for the front and back doors. This might seem like a gimmick but it is actually really helpful to be able to tell what door someone is at if your doors are far away. - Looks decent. Both the doorbells and the speaker are good looking enough to not draw the eye. I have my speaker plugged in to the wall right by my front door. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are the things that I don't like about the doorbell: - My speaker comes with six sounds, and I can only put up with two of them. The other four are either very jarring or too dorky/silly. I use the traditional doorbell sound for my front door, and modern one that doesn't sound like my house alarm for the back door. - The outlet version of the speaker blocks both plugs on an outlet. I wish I was able to use the other plug for something else. ... show more

  • Works as expected Easy install. Highly recommend.

Works as expected. Perfect supplement if you do not have a wired door bell. Ring tons could be better but it does the job. Would I buy again, yes.

  • Remote position is important
Style: Portable Wireless Doorbell with Push But...
I like the ability to add any mp3 as an additional ringtone. The unit itself seems nicely built. Installation is easy enough; the doorbell button went right where my old one was and is screwed in not taped as some. If you are wall mounting the main unit it takes more time, say 30 minutes to plan the location, drill the holes, etc. Volume seems adequate. I can understand that for the hearing impaired the light function could be nice, but I don't need that yet. A store owner might appreciate the motion detection function so he could be alerted when someone enters the shop. Dislikes: Well the wireless range is ok but sensitive to position. I was hoping to be able to set it on a picnic table on my back porch so we could hear it when working in the yard; nope. It's only a 50' range and only has to go through the door and a window, but nada. However, by experimenting I found that it would work when paced even further away with more partitions in the way. My conclusion was that the signal from the button is weakest when the unit is aligned directly with it. So if you are thinking of using this in a remote location, beware of positioning. My other dislike is that this thing has so many buttons on the side and top that it's almost impossible to pick it up without changing some setting. The only practical way to grab it is to spread your hand around it and grasp the sides or top and bottom with your fingers. When you do that you are bound to press the buttons which can cause the bell to mute, change the tune, change the light pattern, etc. Then you have to spend time figuring out what you did and how to reset it. All in all, I will probably keep it. ... show more

  • Worked right out of the box
Style: Wireless Doorbell
Very useful for our very long house where we couldn't always hear someone knock on the door. Even if I don't take it with me to the far end of the house, I can still hear it if I have the volume all the way up. Much louder than my old doorbell. I really like the light function that lets you mute the bell while having it facing you so you can tell someone is ringing the doorbell without waking up a napper. ... show more
