Great light. High quality material. Quality of light is bright and seems natural. Unfortunately I had a problem with the diffuser - after I assembled it I noticed a dent. I contacted manufacturer. They sent me a video of a guy (speaking Chinese) instructing me how to pop the dent out. Video made it appear easy to fix. It was not easy. I utilized a butter knife to pop the dent. It worked. I’m glad because the last thing I wanted to do was to disassemble and pack it all back up and return it. They gave me some money back because what I paid for was not perfect. Plus inconvenience. If you are looking for a light to do your needlepoint/cross-stitching/reading this is the light for you. My wife loves her new light. She has no ‘shadows’ when counting threads! Her biggest gripe about other lights has been shadows when working on her patterns. Having two lights helps eliminate the dreaded hand shadows. The dimmer allows her to adjust from crafting to watching tv. If you’re wondering, this throws enough light for the entire room…. The base is solid - we’re not worried about it tipping. One small ‘nit’ is that it’s a fixed height. It would have been nice if it would raise/lower, but it’s not a deal breaker. Still five star rating for us. ... show more

Interesting product. Works very well, but I find myself wanting even MORE brightness. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it; I'm just being greedy for brilliance now that I've had a taste of it. Not only is it extremely well built, but some real thought, effort, and expense were put into the packaging to ensure safe transport. The box was banged up quite a bit with punctures and tears, but everything inside was flawless. Each piece is also bagged in thick pearl cotton, which was also handy while setting each piece out for assembly. Yes, it is definitely higher priced than what most would ever consider paying for lighting, but I think most of us are just used to bad lighting. I really needed something to illuminate my body hair when shaving, as even bathroom lighting was not ample enough to prevent constantly missing hairs. I think assembling it laying down is a better option than what the instructions imply. Just lay down some of that packaging pearl cotton to prevent any scratching, though I doubt this light is easily scratched. I like to make things difficult and assembled it upright. Finally, one thing I did not expect is how much I have come to appreciate the "Seat Sense" feature. As soon as I walk in the room, it turns on. This is surely something other lights can do, particularly with adapters, though I've never had one. However, having this feature built in is quite useful and thoughtful. Update: Have to ding a star for an overwhelmingly hypersensitive sensor for the Seat Sense feature. I've worked on tweaking it on my own and ended up with what is shown in the picture. However it works, the small aperture surrounded by opaque material seems to reduce the incidents of "false" detection. Without it, I can be lying down in my bedroom and see light spilling out into the living room, on and off, over and over, as it detects something that simply is not there. I've ruled out ventilation moving things like drapes. I've ruled out heat sources such as the computer or monitor being left on. Nothing is moving. Nothing is providing heat. Yet, this thing somehow finds a reason to trigger. I'll update my review again in the future if I find this to be a permanent (although a bit goofy) solution in my case. Final Update: The Seat Sense problem continues to be an issue. This light has obvious engineering/manufacturing issues. What's worse is support. There is absolutely NO support. Complete silence. I'm not paying this much for a light and not getting support, especially during the return period. Good luck making any warranty claims. I wanted to love this light. Honeywell sure does, but they care nothing about their customers. Post-Final Update: Upon disassembly, I noted the smell of burning electronics. Another star dinged down to the minimum. This product should have been thoroughly tested before release, or whoever is manufacturing these needs some QA. Either way, I cannot recommend this light in any capacity until they: 1) Ensure all features on a $1000 light work consistently and reliably. 2) Actually provide customer service in the event there are problems. ... show more
