I received six units, 3 light weight and 3 heavy duty. I've used only 1 light duty one so far. They are very easy to form to your teeth/mouth but you must follow the simple instructions as to much heat for to long will ruin the protectors. In conclusion, it's cheap enough to buy the multi pack to see what works for you. Expect to mess up the first thin/thick ones you try to form so you likely will only have a set of "2" each. I would recommend it as a I have no other options better than nothing. The thick ones are good for sleeping and you cannot speak in them. The thin ones are ok enough to mumble out words that you might need to repeat yourself. I ended up buying another set of 6 in thin. I will use my current pack from this review for at home. Helps me breath easier. So I wanted day time mouth guard to help me breath better. My dental insurance wants like $390 to make one custom and that's a no from me. Anyway, I use an older mouth guard to sleep in and wanted these to work for day time at work. The thicker ones are too thick to speak in and are better as a sleep guard. The thin ones, you can kinda talk. The whole, instructions on how to form them will vary on what kind of jaw you have. I have an underbite so it's not going to "form" like someone with a normal jaw. I also messed up as expected on the first thin and thick one's I tried to form. The other ones I formed were better, but I tried to trim them and then they stopped having a good seal. This could just be a my accident thing, but at the same time, I didn't cut into any of the molded areas. ... show more
