  • Natural solution to sensitive teeth
Flavor Name: Peppermint Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 2)
I’ve always struggled with sensitive teeth. Every dentist I went to recommended Sensodyne which I was already using for years, insanely enough. I switched to this stuff for the purpose of remineralizing and natural disinfectant qualities. Voila! All sensitivity GONE, even during routine dental cleanings. I always get a good review of gum and dental health when in the past, while on sensodyne, I always had at least one cavity and significant sensitivity where I needed breaks in between teeth while cleaning. It was awful. I can’t believe this simple switch solved all my dental ailments. Taste is not delicious but I don’t care. I want natural and efficient. I also buy the dropper slurry solution from this same brand and use every once in a while. When I get lazy and decrease on flossing, I get some gum irritation when I do get back to flossing regularly but I make sure to also add the dropper solution to help minimize irritation. Works like a charm. Fresh breath, strong healthy teeth and gums, no sensitivity, and my kids telling me my teeth look white, what’s not to love. I’m on my third order of multiple jars. This last order was the 4 jars since now my boys are using it too. ... show more

  • Ended My Mouth Pain Ended My Mouth Pain
Flavor Name: Peppermint Size: Pack of 1 (3 Ounce)
If you are looking through reviews to try to determine if you should try this product, read my story. A year ago, (Nov '17) I had a tooth abscess during Thanksgiving Dinner. The pain was tremendous to say the least. The hospital ER was quiet and they drugged me up good to withstand the weekend before I could see the dentist. (Sidenote: Black Friday shopping was extra fun. I'm a 37 year old woman, I bought a mermaid cozy, 3 pillows, an XBOX 1, 5 games, a TV, and I don't remember what else. The cart was heaping. My husband may have aided and abetted me in order to get what he wanted too....anyway) Fast forward a few weeks and I have a stainless steel crown because that's all my insurance would cover and it is NONSTOP getting infected. It hurts to chew, I can only chew on one side of my mouth. I develop gingivitis, constant mouth pain, when I lay down at night I can feel my heart beating in my teeth. The dentist kept seeing me back and putting me on antibiotics but the only solution they could offer me long-term was to pay $1000 to have a porcelain crown built. I have been saving up to do so but also very reluctant because the dentist hurts! And they were talking about how I had all these other cavities too...bish, please. I have never ever had a cavity in my life until this random abscess. Now I have 8? Crazy talk. So I read about re-mineralization. And I think, ok. I want to try this for a few months before I go in to have this crown put on. I've been using this toothpaste for a week. First of all, what the other reviewers say about the taste is CORRECT. It is strong, salty, and it makes my mouth burn a bit. Don't take more than a pea-sized amount on your toothbrush. Swish it around a lot before you spit. After only one week my mouth pain is gone. I can chew on both sides, I have no gingivitis, no heartbeat in my teeth, and bonus...my teeth are getting whiter every day. Now, I've always had strong enamel. I don't drink soda more than twice a year at parties, or eat a lot of sweets. So I probably have faster results than someone else would. And yeah I still gag when I brush with it sometimes but I don't care. I would brush my teeth with actual poop if I didn't have to have another cavity filled ever. Once was enough that was straight up torture. This stuff works. And it doesn't taste like poop, so bonus. Oh and one other thing, my daughter has insanely sensitive teeth which cause her daily pain to eat (she is also a no-go on soda/candy and always has been, it's just genetic) And after 3 days of using the toothpaste, the drops, and the mouthwash she is seeing a 100% improvement and was able to eat ice cream the other day. We are committed to using this product long-term. My opinion is that it is SAFE, it WORKS, and it is WORTH EVERY PENNY. ... show more

  • Very effective without irritation
Flavor Name: Peppermint Size: Pack of 1 (3 Ounce)
I bought this toothpaste because I want to support a hospitable ā€œlaunch padā€ environment inside my mouth so the naturally occurring ā€œhelpful bacteriaā€ vastly outnumber the ā€œharmful bacteriaā€ that together populate my gut making up the microbiome. Our microbiome is unique to us as individuals and has been found to play an important role in decreasing widespread inflammation in the body. The gut bacteria execute essential immune system responses to perceived pathogens ensuring sustained good health by keeping us free from illness and disease. I also would like to believe in the potential remineralization of tooth enamel and I read a review where someone claimed to have had a cavity confirmed by dental x-ray that was completely undetectable 6 months later reportedly due to the ā€œremineralizing propertiesā€ of this product! Last but not least: The flavor!! Whoa! Salty! It takes some getting used to and, honestly, I feel like the zesty burning sensation caused by the essential oils in the products is actually becoming more intense after brushing with it for ~ 2 months? Finally, my gums used to constantly feel irritated like they were scrapped up from brushing but they don’t feel that way anymore. I also started using a mouth wash that is 20% aloe Vera that is also helping to calm my gums. Overall, after switching to a child’s level soft toothbrush aka ā€œsuper softā€, swapping out my old toothpaste for this product and replacing my mouthwash I have to admit my mouth feels a lot better!! Noticeably less gum irritation and cleaner teeth with less plaque/stains. I highly recommend that people try this toothpaste if your health goals include increased use of natural products in your self-care routine and decrease in potentially harmful chemicals, formulated to kill all oral bacteria indiscriminately, coming in contact with your mucus membranes. This product seems like a solid tool in supporting the balance of good bacteria in the body who’s effect on our overall health. we are only beginning to understand. Be prepared to experience a new taste and texture: salty, gritty, and strongly minty but as long as you don’t expect a fake sweet sugar taste and take give yourself time to acclimate to the essential oils then I expect you’ll also have a good experience. The container lasts a long time! Also, I recommend taking a moment to educate yourself re the warning related to lead content in this product: Lead is a natural component of the clay ingredient but it is NOT a type of lead that is ā€œbio availableā€ aka not absorbable by our bodies so there is no risk of harm from lead ingestion. CA law requires warning of the presence of lead to be clearly visible on product label all the same. Now go brush yo teeth! ... show more

  • Terrible taste but squeaky clean teeth
Flavor Name: Peppermint Size: Pack of 4 (12 Ounce)
If you've ever wondered what mint flavored dog poo tastes like, you should give this toothpaste a try. Seriously, the taste and texture are pretty unpleasant. Having gotten that out of the way, this stuff makes your teeth feel squeaky clean and even brightens them up a bit. I would even go so far as to say that this stuff makes my teeth and mouth feel cleaner than "traditional" flouride toothpaste. I have perioral dermatitis and one of the recommended preventative measures is to not use fluoride based toothpaste. So, I've tried probably 6 or 8 different fluoride free toothpastes over the past couple years. This is my favorite one for the way it makes my mouth and teeth feel clean and fresh. I've repurchased it a couple of times and plan to continue using it. One other negative I'll mention is the pot delivery. Once you get down to about 10% left, the product is probably a little dried out and has been pushed against the side of the jar and it's kind of difficult to scoop it out with your toothbrush at that point. You can add a little water to loosen it up and make it easier to get the paste out. Even that tiny frustration, though, is worth having a glass jar, rather than one more thing in plastic. ... show more

  • fantastic!
Flavor Name: Peppermint Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 2)
This stuff is amazing. I much prefer this to gel toothpastes. You cannot get paste anymore. Going back to this. Much better natural flavor and cleans way better than any or the pastes on the market. Also you cannot use the entire jar compared to products in the tube which are wasteful.

  • Affordable alternative to fluoride pastes with greater potential benefits and a very clean feeling
Flavor Name: Peppermint Size: Pack of 1 (3 Ounce)
I have never used a toothpaste like this. I have grown up with Crest, Colgate, Sensodyne, and the like, so this was a big gamble for me. My teeth have suffered from an extended period of braces as a child, without being provided the proper information by my orthodontist at the time, so my current dentist has recently suggested something different. I have been on prescription fluoride toothpaste, but my dentist told me about Theodent at the end of last year, which led me to some research on alternative toothpastes and remineralization, and ultimately to this. For me, it's not so much about the chemicals and organic nature; it's more about something that might help my teeth repair themselves. From a flavour point, this is definitely different. I typically rinse with salt water once or twice a week, so the saltiness isn't a deal breaker for me, but it is an initial shock to the taste buds. That wears off pretty quickly, however, and by the second time I brushed my teeth with this, I was already accustomed to it. The peppermint oil is a bit strong at first, but you get used to that, too, rather quickly, and it leaves a nice fresh feeling in your mouth after brushing. The feeling of brushing is different as well. Since there is no foaming agent in this, your saliva mixes with it and creates a very liquid mixture in your mouth. It almost feels like you're brushing with spit and water, save for the peppermint and salt taste. After, however, my teeth feel like I just had them polished at the dentist. They definitely feel different than brushing with a typical gel or paste toothpaste, and I like it. I can't comment on how long this lasts, yet, but I just dip the bristles of my brush in until there is a little bit on each one. I don't shave it, scoop it, or cut clumps out. The packaging says the composition of the toothpaste makes it extremely antiseptic, so I am trusting that. I will update in a couple months, however, to provide feedback on how long it is lasting. I also can't comment on the remineralization aspect of this yet, but that is another thing I will be updating about. At the present time, I have soft spots in my enamel, and decalcification in several spots where my braces brackets were located when I was younger, so I am hoping this has an affect on that. With the cost and potential benefits of this over what I have been using, I plan on using it at least until I visit the dentist for my next checkup, so I have some basis to compare the results to. I just had my semi-annual cleaning a couple weeks ago, shortly before purchasing this, so it should give me a good comparison to work with. UPDATE: Regarding how long it lasts, I just ran out last week. I have been brushing twice a day, and have been the primary user, with only 2 or 3 small brushings being someone else testing the paste. Otherwise it's all been me. Based on this, it seems to last just shy of 2 months with a typical brushing schedule. ... show more

  • Good Product
Flavor Name: Peppermint Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 2)
I love this product! I'm glad I bought it. I Noticed my teeth actually feel so much more healthier. And less Sensitive to certain things that I was sensitive to, before. This product is worth it. If you want to switch to more natural toothpaste, this would be it. And you can choose the kind you want. You can choose Minty, you could be more sweet with your selection or you could choose something else entirely, it has a wide selection of options, and actually very affordable. And it will last you a long time. The first one I bought lasted me 3 months. You don't need a whole lot. It will clean your teeth. 10/10 ... show more

  • This stuff will destroy your teeth!!! This stuff will destroy your teeth!!!
Flavor Name: Peppermint Size: Pack of 4 (12 Ounce)
Look, I applaud any company that put forth the effort to provide us consumers with a natural alternative to all the chemicals we are brainwashed to use on a daily basis. I am strongly opposed to the use of flouride toothpaste because flouride is a neurotoxin that accumulates in the body over time and causes many adverse health effects. Even if flouride is good for our teeth, I don't think its worth the harm it causes our bodies and brains. So, I was looking for the most "natural" toothpaste I could find and came across Uncle Harry's Toothpaste and it seemed to check all the boxes. I wasn't overly concerned with the lead warning because I know California is really strict about labeling and I called Uncle Harry's and they said the Bentonite Clay has lead but no more than your average potato would have. I began to use the toothpaste and soon realized why it had so many good reviews.. At first my teeth felt smooth and looked shiny so initially i was satisfied with the product. Then, I continued to use the product religiously brushing every morning and night thinking im making my teeth better and better with each use. After about 3 months or so, I began to see a dark line at the base of my bottom teeth. It didnt occur to me that it was the toothpaste. I thought maybe it was from drinking my 1 cup of coffee per day that's causing it. Even though coffee has never done that before, I discontinued coffee but the dark lines persisted. So I decided to read the bad reviews on Amazon for this toothpaste and saw many people having issues with it. I wish I read the bad reviews sooner. MY TEETH ARE COMPLETELY DESTROYED!! The dark lines are cavities, there are cracks and holes in my teeth from using this toothpaste! Now I have to dish out thousands and thousands of dollars to fix my teeth all because I thought it was a natural toothpaste that actually worked. Although I refuse to give-up on flouride-free toothpaste, Uncle Harrys is literally the worst toothpaste on the face of the planet. I write this review to help persuade anyone on the fence about buying this toothpaste to run away as fast as you can. Avoid this toothpaste at all cost! Dont make the same mistake I did by destroying your teeth while simultaneously thinking you are benefiting your teeth. Save yourself thousands of dollars and dont make the same mistake I did. I encourage everyone to go flouride-free, but please do NOT buy this toothpaste. I devastated becaus ive spent so maby years building strong and healthy teeth and gums, only to destroy it completely in a matter of months. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Please avoid Uncle Harry's Toothpaste!!! ... show more
