This is my first hive setup and I am really impressed. It is great quality wood and dipped in wax. It was super easy to assemble. I was told to put a little wood glue on the corners of the removable frames, because the nails alone might not hold the weight on the frames. It looks sturdy enough though so I believe they will hold up, but I'll use the glue just in case. Overall great hive. My bees are loving it.

Very aesthetically pleasing hive. Natural wood dipped in wax. Straight-forward assembly with rubber hammer, standard hammer and screwdriver or impact driver. Also very pleased with the company’s prompt and courteous customer service. I previously ordered an 8 frame hive kit that arrived in great shape. I then ordered a second hive - My shipment box had torn en route and had obviously been taped up with packing tape. Some of the parts fell out of the hole (super side bars, nails, excluder bar) before it was taped up. I took pictures and sent them to the seller. They promptly responded and replaced some of the missing parts (super frame side bars) and issued a credit to buy the excluder bar and nails. I just bought a third hive from them to put one of my captured swarms in.

Solid product. Frames and boxes came together nicely, pilot holes in the boxes really helped. Nice that it came with all the screws and nails. I used a nail gun for the frames instead of the nails it came with only cause it was faster.

I have a couple of these and the assembly is pretty straight forward. Starting to weather a bit after the first year. Boxes are well made but bottom board corner joints made need a little reinforcement if you move things around a lot. Bees are happy.

I ended up getting more swarms than I thought this season so I needed to get an extra hive in a hurry. The hive went together pretty easily. Tight fit. Best of all the price was affordable. However, there was an 1/8in gap above the entrance reducer. Overall I think this will be a great addition to my apiary.

Good product for a beginner at an affordable price. Assembly was easy but having a nail gun makes it much easier/faster and avoids cracking the wood while nailing.
