I needed another deep 10 frame quickly because I had bought an 8 frame by mistake. when it came it was packaged well and the construction was excellent. I liked that the predrilled holes for the screws, so they countersink. The box was well coated with wax. Easy peazy.

This is definitely the best hive body I've purchased. The wood quality is excellent and attractive and quick to put together. Love the details of the dovetail joinery on the hive body and the waxed pieces to provide waterproofing. Will definitely buy from Honey Lake again.

Great quality and fitment,,, Worried about "waxed" foundation, mfg said it was beeswax, but there's a very strong chemical smell. Hope it goes away after separating pieces to let them air out

This was my first attempt at beekeeping. Assembling the hive was easy as was assembling the frames. (I did have to ask YouTube for help because the directions didn’t make such sense to me.) I was very pleased with the final results. Let’s just hope the bees find it acceptable.

This is an excellent product. I have purchased cheaper boxes and they start falling apart after a season. This is completely sealed in wax, includes strong screws. I would use wood glue along with the nails (or I used a brad nailer gun) to keep the frames together. Would definitely buy this one next time my hive splits!

I love the boxes, but I have doubts on whether the wax coating on them and the foundations is beeswax. It does not smell like beeswax, and the girls were very slow to draw until I put a coat of actual beeswax on them. Beautiful solid boxes otherwise.
