My wife tried to assemble this and ran into some trouble with the wood splitting. You have to be real careful driving the wire nails in. I recommend gluing it first, then driving the nails because the wood will split easily. But the nails are definitely needed because a frame full of honey can get heavy. Its well made and well designed.
