Having a rigid yet somewhat flexible knife was the goal. This knife seems to be a good balance of both, and at a great price. I just harvest a few frames of honey 4-6, so this is perfect. I dont need a heated knife, or an extractor. Just cut smash and strain the honey. A simple solution for a few frames of honey. This replaced a flimsy Chinese made knife, and at only a few dollars more. Handle had a slight chip in it, I not sure whos fault shipping or manufacturing, but I would tighten quality control. otherwise 5 stars ... show more

Effective at unhappiness honey and sturdy enough to do many hive frames. My husband chose this over a heated knife as it can work in any location and you do not have to worry about hot spots.
