I got a 6 wide at first. That is what I wear. I didn't check the reviews or I wouldn't have done that, since most people said the fit is too big. It was. I like to wear these without socks, but even with socks my foot kept slipping out. Too long, heel popping up, and also too wide (although my bunion was happy). I gave them to someone else. They were so big, I thought a 5 wide would be best, rather than a 5 1/2. However, it's a little too small. This is my all time favorite brand of moccasins. I currently wear these while I work from home and in the office at my desk, they are so warm and so comfortable. I’ve worn this brand for 15 years for moccasins and mukluks and they never disappoint. I’ve gotten cheaper brands in the past but they never last long and these last me YEARS of use without looking bad. I have worn these mocs as slippers/casual at-home shoes for decades, and I"m only on my third pair. They are extremely comfortable and warm, and the hard sole allows me to step outside for a bit if I need to do that. The is my fifth pair. I have worn them for years and love the comfort, the wicking away of sweat so there is no odor! I wear them every day even in summer, in and out of the yard and they last just over 12 months before I have worn out the heel!!
