  • very nice organizer
It took me a while to put this together since I haven't had a lot of experience putting things together, but was very glad I stuck with it because it is a really useful and attractive piece of furniture. I use it for all the odds and ends that I use all the time and it's more convenient to have them out in the open instead of in a closet. Great purchase. ... show more

  • I use it all everyday
Should’ve bought a larger shoe stand but it has been used a lot.

  • Organize accessories for your small home gym
When I was putting this together, I wasn't sure if this would be sturdy enough and I also thought this would be a bit larger. I would definitely *not* use it for heavy weights. It fits one yoga mat just fine but not more than one. It is great for smaller gym accessories and I paired it with multipurpose clear plastic bins that I got from Amazon (11x8x6) to maximize the space. ... show more

  • Buy smaller screws!
I really love this multifunction entry door stand. My wife is from the Philippines and I am sure she will love it because bamboo is a material that is used for building just about everything in the Philippines. HOWEVER; the thicker support rails are made out of 2 pieces of bamboo glued together. The pilot holes for the screws go though the center of the glued bamboo. The included #10 sheet metal screws to hold it together. The diameter of the screw they include are much larger than the pilot holes. If you try to install the included screws you will split the glued section in two every time. I went to the hardware store and bought size 8 screws to replace them. They worked just fine. Other tips: When I saw the set-up after opening up the box, I immediately knew that this was a project that would need to be glued together to keep it sturdy. I chose Gorilla glue construction adhesive to use because construction glue is very strong and will bond wood that has been finished. Unlike other construction adhesives it is also easier to squeeze out of the tube. https://www.amazon.com/Gorilla-Construction-Adhesive-Strength-Ounce/dp/B0916KZ598/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2EVVRH0LB5VT8&dchild=1&keywords=gorilla+glue+construction+adhesive&qid=1627701727&sprefix=Gorilla+glue%2Caps%2C194&sr=8-4 Put a VERY THIN line of adhesive down the center of the rough end of the cross member. Put a medium amount onto the dowel because the holes are larger than the dowels making them forever loose. Glue it together on a flat surface, (I used the kitchen table because it is the only flat surface in my house.) Start off with the umbrella stand first. Tighten the screws down so they are firm but not totally tight. Then stand it up right and make sure all 4 feet are sitting flat. Then tighten the screws/Now you have 2 straight sides and it sits level. The bottom shelf will help to keep it square. Let the glue from that section dry over night. The next day glue on the shelves the other upright to the umbrella stand. Let that dry over night. Make sure when you stand it up the back still looks straight., because you may have bowed it a little while standing it up. It will help if you put a gallon jug of water onto the center of the top shelf to hold everything (feet) flat and straight.) Let that dry overnight. Yeah, I know it is a lot of extra work and takes more time, but do you want a strong umbrella stand or one that will become rickety and wobbly as the screws work lose? Another tip. If you pre-thread the screws into the pilot holes about 3/4 the length down the screw, you will find it a lot easier when it comes time for assembly. Last tip. Either get the smallest can or bottle of paint thinner or WD-40 you can use and wipe off any excess glue that squeezes out IMEDIATELY. The solvents in WD-40 will thin out the glue so you can get it off. It just takes longer. I do not fault the vendor for the oversize screws, that was the manufacture's fault. The correct screw size is #8 X 1.25in. Do not overtighten...remember your working with bamboo not oak. You can get them in gold I hope this review is helpful to others. ... show more

  • Excellent product!
Sturdy construction, easy to assemble, and the perfect size for my walk in area! Was missing 8 screws. I live in a rural setting, not urban...and not driving 1 hr one way for 8 screws. I found a way to make it work. Otherwise, 5 stars!

  • Works great in my entryway
I didn't give the shoe rack a 5 only because I haven't found anything to put in the umbrella section yet to catch water drips from a wet umbrella. It was easy to assemble and is sturdy. I've managed somehow to put more shoes on it than I'd planned because it's so convenient.

  • Only worth it on sale
So it's not a terrible product, but it's not worth the $75+ they typically want for it. I got it for $50 and feel like that's an okay price. Not a bargain, but okay. The main problem with it is they expect you to assemble this thing using a tiny little hex key (Allen key), which would be fine except they expect you to force a screw into the bamboo material with this tool and they have got to be joking; it's not like the material is super hard but getting it to drive in with a tiny little tool by hand is a ridiculous thing to ask. I have to knock a star off because you have to use an external tool or different hardware you supply yourself to make it assemble easily. In my case I used my drill to counter sink the screws, which I do recommend you fasten by hand I think you'd get in trouble using a driver. The way it goes together is incredibly specific. I put it all together without any fasteners installed first just to be able to see how it was supposed to be when it was done, and I didn't have any problems. I recommend you assemble it without trying to screw it together first, then once you see how all the pieces fit, then you can see where you need to drill to counter sink holes. You could also probably glue it together, which is probably stronger than using screws if you can figure out the right adhesive. I wanted the option to be able to take it apart again when I move so I stuck with the screws. Don't over tighten the screws, just hand snug them. The individual pieces are a little rickety/cheap feeling, but it feels a lot more solid once you put it all together. In practice it works pretty well really, I use the top shelf to hold a charging station and I put a mat over it and I put headphones, my cell phone, tablet, flashlights, etc. up there to charge. My main issues with it are: 1. Expensive for what it is at the regular price 2. It's not hard to assemble, but it could easily be much easier with a little thought/redesign If you can live with that, it's fine. ... show more
