Has a lot of different pieces to put together. Wouldn't say assembling was hard, just took time. I use it for my bags and so far, it has held up being nice and sturdy. Doesn't take up a lot of space either. Would recommend if you need something small and for a good value.

Why I bought this: I purchased this shoe rack to help organize and stack my son’s shoes, which were starting to pile up and take up too much space. First impression: The shoe rack arrived in a small, compact package, which I appreciated. All the parts were included, and the instructions were easy to follow. Using the product: Assembly was quick and simple. I really like that it comes with many tiers, making it easy to store a large number of shoes without taking up much floor space. What I liked: ✔ 10 tiers hold a lot of shoes (about 20–25 pairs) ✔ Easy to assemble ✔ Lightweight and space-saving ✔ Comes in a compact package What could be better: ✘ The lower base could be a bit sturdier or heavier to better support the full height of the shelf, especially when it’s fully loaded. This shoe rack is dirt cheap and I got it on sale which knocked off a few more dollars. After taxes it was still less than twenty bucks. At that price, there's not much to complain about as long as the product arrives as pictured and does what it is supposed to do. It predictably feels and looks cheap and weighs nothing, shipping in a remarkably tiny box that's probably just over a foot long and no bigger than five inches at any of the other dimensions. Fully assembled, it holds two pairs of average sized shoes (size 10 men for me) on each of its 10 tiers. The side-by-side width is a little narrow. With some angling you can put two pairs of mens sneakers on each tier but it will be a little tight. Height-wise, things like chukka boots or Vans "Sk8-Hi" sneakers will barely fit. Anything taller will only fit on the top tier. The shelves are a flimsy nylon material but once assembled they're rigid enough for light items. It works. I have it on a carpeted floor in a corner where nothing will bump into it and it doesn't really sway around. That being said there's no real sturdiness to it because it's so light and if you have it out in the open, it can be tipped over easily. I like the fact that it has a small footprint if I ever need to toss it. I can just disassemble the whole thing and it probably can fit in a grocery store bag. So by design, it's not really sturdy but because of that it's easy to move and throw away if you need to and for what it does it costs nothing. It's very easy to assemble with just a tiny sheet of paper being the only documentation that ships with it. No tools are required. Just make sure the 'long end' of the joints are pointing in the right direction. It also should go without saying but the instructions emphasize not placing the shoe rack in direct sunlight or rain/water. This is probably because the plastic construction of the rack will warp/soften in these conditions. The trickiest part is probably making sure the rods are fully inside the joints. If you're rushing you can probably put the whole thing together in less than half an hour. If you're really taking your time and planning to anchor the rack to a wall, it shouldn't take any longer than a few hours. If you do plan to anchor it, you will need to provide your own hardware. The rack and a couple spare joints are the only items included.

I've bought atleast 5 of these and they continue to break. If you have a huge shoe collection I would suggest buying something different. Only reason I keep buying this one is because of how compact it is in my room. But i've woken up to a entire shoe rack falling on me.

When I originally purchased this product it was great sturdy and reliable. I’ve used my original rack to store and sort many items and shoes. TLDR: Original rack purchased a year ago was so great I repurchased and was disappointed by new rack in poor quality and smaller ratios. Unfortunately the problem is I’ve just moved and noticed I should upgrade my storage. When purchasing the same rack that has served me well the past year I was excited until I went to put it together. As soon as it was taken out of the box I could tell the poles were all thinner than the previous rack I received. The durability was immediately a noticeable difference as two poles had bent ends because they were thinner and got squished in shipping making me have to bend them further just to fit in the corner pieces. I also had one corner piece break because it couldn’t withstand the pole being pressed into it. (Worried about the already flimsy pole I only added more pressure as needed and only the one broke.) Once all put together and just accepting I’d organize my shoes differently for the new poles not being able to support my heavier shoes I noticed the more infuriating problem. This new version is also shorter and has less depth than the old one. This means my high tops that barely fit in the original will not even fit in this new rack nor will any shoe fit without hanging off or being unstable from resting on the pole vs all the way on the tier like my original rack. And yes I am sure it’s the same rack I repurchased from my order list and it was still labeled from my original purchase. I changed no options just clicked buy now.
