We follow the Asian custom of taking shoes off at the door. Our entry way has a mud room with over 20 pairs of shoes. This shoe organizer is excellent. Very easy to assemble and it takes up little space next to the door. It is up against the wall and is only 18 inches wide. When company comes over we can zip it closed so it looks nice. We used racks and also a shoe cabinet with doors. This was the best choice and not expensive. You should let your shoes dry before storing them. Visitors like that this organizer has plenty of room, can be easily moved around, looks good, is not expensive and can be zipped closed.
