Gets the job done. We needed a hassock for our couch as the recliners quit working. This piece is the right level for resting your feet and quilted on top so it is soft. The flat side can be put right against the couch so it takes up little space but can also be moved away and used as a coffee table in front of the couch. It is sturdy and well made. The storage is great and we put all our TV controls in it, blanket, pens, laptop etc. so as to be out of site but immediately accessable if needed. Great storage that opens and closes. Wouldn't change a thing about this and am thinking of buying another one to place at the foot of my bed. Edited: Just like the review below, the middle button fell off within 24 hours. The remedy is to hot glue the circular button material to the top of button, slowly hot glue material around the button and under it. Then hot glue button into the space. Hope they don't all pop off as I love this ottoman.

This looks so cute at the end of my queen bed. I already put in blanket cause we're supposed to get a cold front next week (ya, right- I'm in Texas). It was super easy to put together on arrival, just the legs. Only wish Amazon had the black leather version- if they ever do get that one I'll just move this black velvet to guest room twin bed - already tried it- looks great there too- and I'll put leather one in master end of queen

I love it alot but it is very lightweight n seems easily breakable like you can stand on it but if you're over 130 maybe not the best idea sorry it's just for sitting anyway and if you need to like push it out of the way for whatever reason on a floor like carpet or anything with no slack the feet will get caught and could break the part that screws in the tops opens nicely and stays open when needed I wouldn't slam it shut cuz the screws can bend outta place BUT OVER ALL FOR WHAT I NEED IT FOR TO JUST SIT THERE N LOOK PRETTY ITS PERFECT I have it on the side of my bed as a step stool for my elevated bed it's like 2 feet off the ground for storage reasons n it's just find and I have all my knitting yarns in it so that's why it's fine for me n I try to add as much information as possible for someone that may been something more sturdy

This is a nice storage ottoman. The shape is unique and it was available in a variety of colors. It fits nicely at the foot of my queen bed. My only complaint is that the hinge doesn’t allow the top to “stay up” on its own without being held open. The hinge is hidden in the inside, which I like. I saw a very similar ottoman in a store after I bought this one online that had a lid that WOULD stay open without support, but it did cost considerably more money.

This is a gorgeous, gray velvet bench which I have placed alongside my bathtub. It provides me with ample storage for bathroom towels and was easy to assemble. Takes about 5 minutes to unpack and screw in the legs. Very substantial piece of furniture that can be used at the foot of a bed, in a living room as a table or as extra seating or in a foyer, as storage for dog leashes, sweaters, dry umbrellas...anything you need to grab and go on your way out the door. Excellent value.
