I specifically bought this because it was sold as a set. I only received one so it is going back. You can see from the package it isn't a dual Thermostat it is a box built for one.

    • It will freeze your pipes.
This thermostat will make your pipes freeze. It has a mind of its own and changes your temperature without you knowing it and there's nothing you can do about it. I did the mistake of installing it into my second home. I carefully followed all instructions, cleared the calendar. Told it to not be "smart" and record my habits but instead follow my instructions. But still. Although i set the temperature to 60 to prevent freezing when I left the house, and told the thermostat not to follow my location to determine whether I was home or not, when I got back to the house a few days later it had changed itself to 45. The pipes all froze. Can I sue nest for this? ... show more

I only received one thermostat. The description clearly says 2 pack but it’s false. Wasted my time.

    • I have both RH and RC wires in my old thermostat.
Unfortunately, the Nest E isn't compatible with two power wires. You'll need to purchase a Nest Learning Thermostat which has two terminals for both Rh and Rc wires.

    • Worst money I’ve ever spent
I HATE these thermostats. I have 2. One upstairs and one downstairs. Each has its own set of problems. One doesn’t come on for 30 min to an hour after adjusting temperature if it’s extra hot or cold in the house. The other won’t stay connected to wifi and keeps losing battery. It also reads about 8 degrees too hot causing the AC to run continuously unless you set it at a ridiculous temperature which is the opposite of the efficiency aspect I purchased them for. I don’t know that I’ve ever been more dissatisfied by a product I took time to research. ... show more

    • Generally works fine....
...there are limitations to what you can control (like the length of time or interval your fan runs; doesn't reset to the programmed temperature after a set time if temperature is manually changed).
