These brackets are a lot stronger than the originals (13-gauge / 3/32" steel) and feel extremely rigid. They significantly reinforce the lift mechanism, something the factory design clearly lacked, as my original lift points were already bending and starting to crack. Installation was straightforward as a DIY job using a socket/ratchet. On my doors, I needed 3/8", 7/16", and 1/2" sockets. Some reviews mentioned receiving a short clevis pin, but mine was the correct size. I did add small pieces of tubing to keep the lift bar centered on the pin (credit to another reviewer for that tip). Exactly what I needed but was not included in my OH opener. My metal garage doors are now very securely attached and I don't need to worry about the opener damaging the door. Should come with spacers (2nd photo) but I just cut a small piece of tubing and it worked great.

Help me repair and reinforce my garage doors. Align the top of the door with a piece of perforated angle iron and then use these brackets doors don’t flex anymore and are a little bit quieter.
