If you can afford an expensive mattress, odds are you aren't looking at this review. For everyone else, however, this is one of those weird times when you actually get way more than you paid for. I don't have back or joint issues, I'm not carrying excessive body weight, and I don't have sleep disorders. I start sleep on my back and then shift to my side. I'm also not picky about mattresses, probably because I've been sleeping on the floor for so long that an 8 inch is like heaven. I'm noting this crap because all of this stuff might make a difference if you like this mattress or not, if you differ wildly. That said, again, I have found that the 8 inch is plenty thick for me (though you can easily add a foam topper, I did just because I had the inch thick thing already) and the structure of the mattress itself to be really smartly done, which makes for comfortable sleeping. It arrives vacu shipped so don't freak, it saves shipping costs for the seller, just take it to a mattress sized blank spot in your place and carefully cut open the bag and grin when it pops back into shape when the air hits it. I let mine rise 48 hours so everything could uncoil/relax and I made sure I kept the plastic off so it wouldn't interfere with the shape returning. Then I put one of those mattress encasements on it and put it on my platform, a Zinus foundation I got from Amazon (also obscenely cheap and amazing). This foundation eliminates the need for a box spring and is cleverly built so your mattress doesn't sag or do weird crap when you sleep. Depending on if you have a box and what type of foundation/bed frame you have, it could really change the effect of the mattress. That should be really obvious, but in case it wasn't there you go. Yep, it matters WHAT you put your mattress on, just as it does your body and how you sleep. I sleep great. And I would buy this again if something horrid happened to it. This is a total steal, and anyone who reads this, has no idea how much I love finding bargains, and I found one. If you are searching for a Quality Item that exceeds the Price, then do not hesitate to buy this Item. This Euro Top, Home Life Mattress is Luxurious and more than worth it! It has Spring Coils, but oddly arrives rolled-up condensed, in a compressed vacuumed sealed Plastic Packaging. I felt taken advantage of at first, my mind went straight into disappointment mode. I began thinking, "This is definitely getting returned." OMG, right? Shortly thereafter, I got over its ugly packaged appearance, and I decided to cut open the Plastic. Wow, it instantly unfolded, and expanded into a Luxurious, Super-Soft, Pillow-Top, Spring Coiled Mattress. Not only was it exciting to open, but the transformation into a wonderful Quality Item, blew my mind! No complaints, from me, whatsoever. My tired, aching, overworked, and underpaid body, has been thanking me for being so smart, after making this purchase, ever since! Five Stars, I am truly overwhelmed with happiness.     • Extra firm, extra cheap...short lived however
Size: Queen
The mattress is just amazing for how cheap it is, 100$ is crazy low for a queen size mattress. The feel is very firm but not unpleasant to me. The mattress was bought as a guest bed and it is nearly as comfortable as my S&F orthopedic monster which lists for ten times the price for a queen set. A box spring is a must and a basic mattress pad is a good idea. The mattress is a bit lighter than a standard mattress, the coils are a lighter gauge, so durability might be an issue, but for a guest bed which won't get constant use its fine. No jumping on this bed, and two people might not get a full 10 years out of this. It is slightly smaller than a stand queen. Final measurements are 58 by 74, after two days expansion. You'll notice if you put it on a standard size queen box spring or frame, I don't think it will effect sheets, or use. The only problem was the delivery. The seller shipped via a subcontractor through fed ex, they claimed the could not find the house, despite the number being visible from the street. So they delivered a day late and had to be called and provided directions. This was only caught because fed-ex flagged the item as undeliverable, because the delivery person claimed the house couldn't be found. If we hadn't been tracking the package it would have been a even worse. So the package was delivered a day late, while we were out of town, which we wouldn't have been if they had delivered on time. We specifically requested the item be placed on the covered pouch to keep it out of the weather. They put it on the steps not under cover at all, the box got soaked and was destroyed. This made moving it inside very difficult and cause the bagged mattress to be exposed and the bag to was torn. The mattress required time to dry because of the damp and where the bag was torn the mattress was ripped slightly, not enough to make it unusable. It all could have been avoided if the delivery people had followed the instructions. It's a good thing I like the mattress because i might have sent it back right then. Update After ~9 months after order Mattress was used approximately 1 weekend a month and for 2 weeks at Christmas since ordered last August. The mattress began to deteriorate quickly in the last two months. The foam on the pillow top seemed to have lost its cushion and the mattress which started out firm became as hard as a rock. It became impossible to sleep on and had to be replaced. I really hoped it would work out for at least a couple of years. ... show more
