This is fantastic and not expensive. Great for all sorts of digging. Used the 2" by 32" to get a hole started under my driveway for a conduit power extension - wish it had a 10 foot extension. Its not a root cutter, but be patient and was able to work through some of the smaller ones. It mainly moves dirt gravel and clay very well. Pulverizes the dirt. Hold onto the drill tight to keep it from driving deep into clay. Since then it has been used for precision digging for all sorts of projects. Got some small concrete projects coming up. Looking forward to using it to mix and find air pockets. Nice tool!

My husband can say goodbye to his cordless drill, it's going on a garden adventure WITH ME!! This really is a game changer if you have weakness or problems with your hands. It makes a perfect hole for flowers or veggies from a 4 pack or 6pack. I bet it works great for bulbs.

I used it to make 3ft post holes. Drill it to depth, and I used shop vacuum to get dirt out. It was easy and fast. Was a good deal,love the way it extended.

Bought this to drill out a hole in really packed down rocky soil. It fit in the drill well and was very sturdy. Cut through the ground no problem. Was easy to use, and a great value compared to the hardware stores. Just a heads up if you're using it for the same thing as me, go slow. This thing really stays in there so don't let the drill twist your arm.

The product is advertised as a 2"x32" auger bit. When in fact, they send 2 2"x16" pieces that need to be connected with a thread. This is useless you can't pull out bit by running drill in reverse. My bit got stuck very deep (after its extension got reversed out when going in reverse) and it took me 100s of dollars of effort to bring the 16" original auger bit back out. What's worse is that it really didn't work on my clay soil, even though it advertises that it does. Instead the drill spins, and can cause wrist injury. OH and if that wasn't enough, the thing bends quite easily.

Because the shank is screwed together, if you drill into stiff soil and reverse the drill, the sections disconnect. I understand having the bit in two pieces was for shipping, but the auger is now a foot into the ground never to be seen again.
