Chair arrived in perfect condition. Assembly was pretty straight forward and the brown color is very nice and rich. Seems pretty sturdy and easy to recline and return to straight position. Smooth to swivel and the ottoman is nice. My only con is there is zero lumbar support with this chair...reason for only 4 stairs. I do get a little sore when I sit longer than an hour in it because of the lack of support. The seat cushion is soft and comfy. Time will tell how it lasts! ... show more

I purchased this reclining and swivel chair because it had a separate footrest stool (my feet tend to hang off smaller recliners which is uncomfortable). I also liked the look of the chair in the pictures and it happened to be on sale this particular day. Here are some of the things I found when it arrived: 1) Parts of the chair were covered with protective plastic and then partially assembled. This made it difficult in removing the plastic cleanly and left bits of the plastic stuck between certain areas where it is connected. If it bothers you esthetically, then you will need to use an exacto blade, or unscrew the areas where it was joined by the factory to remove the excess. Not a big deal, but just an unnecessary waste of time. 2) Since certain parts of the chair didn't align properly during assembly (when following the sequence of steps in the instructions), I had to disassemble the work I had already done to get these pieces to fit. This was extremely frustrating and also time consuming. I don't know if all their chairs are like this (because they are mass produced) or just mine in particular. 3) Quality wise the chair seems decent. The faux leather is nice and the color is pleasing. The only things I have concerns about or don't care for are: a) I don't know how durable the wood parts are or how well they will hold up over time since they seem to be an inexpensive grade and finish. Especially where these wood parts connect with the bolts. b) The chair could use a little more padding in certain areas for more comfort and it doesn't recline that far back. The lever to recline or sit upright is also somewhat cumbersome to use. Ergonomically it could use some work. c) The swivel base is not that smooth and somewhat noisy. It may need lubrication to resolve the problem. Overall the chair is decent for what I paid and essentially buying without seeing in person and trying it out. If you are very particular, or spend a lot of time lounging, then I would suggest spending the extra money to upgrade to something better. ... show more
