I was concerned since so many "heavy duty" dryer ducts are barely thicker than paper and never the right size, but since I live in a small town I have to order these online and hope for the best... THIS duct is great! It actually is heavy duty, unlike the one it replaced that ripped from normal use! This fit perfect, was the correct length, and now, because it IS heavier, doesn't move around as much when the dryer is running (so hopefully it won't rip!) What a concept - a product that has an accurate description AND actually works as intended. If only the rest of Amazon listings were so accurate.... This dryer vent is superior to the crummy ones you get with a dryer install from Home Depot or Lowes. The quip grip clamps make it easy to apply in a corner or tight space. The gauge thickness of the aluminum hose is much greater and protects against incident tearing and leaks.
