The foam in this pillow seems to be higher density than other pillows I've tried. It's more firm and "remembers" for longer (longer time to re-expand). The pillow comes super stuffed and I had to remove a lot of foam in order to sleep on my back. This pillow, unlike others, does not contain 10-20% polyester which I very much appreciated - especially considering the price. Sadly, the foam is not evenly cut. There are a lot of "fines" (i.e. tiny particles of foam) and some very large chunks which you are able to easily feel through the case. Additionally, I was unable to configure the filling amount to be perfect. Either the pillow was too tall/firm for me to sleep on my back, or super floppy and empty feeling - a middle ground was not locatable. Despite returning, I would actually recommend these pillows to others who like a firm pillow. I prefer a softer pillow so these weren't for me. ... show more

I could not find a pillow firm enough for my liking that was budget-friendly. This pillow is amazing because you can customize it. I like my pillow to be firm and supportive, but not very bulky/thick, and this is perfect.

These are the best pillows that I’ve ever had! They shipped quickly and didn’t take long at all to plump up quite nicely. I didn’t smell the chemical smell that some others have stated in their reviews, but I did wash and dry the outer cover and let the pillows air out for a couple of days just in case. They are so soft and comfortable, but plush and firm enough that they DO NOT go flat. As a stomach/and occasionally side sleeper, I find them perfect. Finally a pillow that I don’t have to fold in half to still not find the right thickness. I can tell you that I’m not missing the restless sleep from constantly needing to flip my old pillows and waking up with neck pain. I was hesitant to try these because of them being memory foam. Since I’m not a fan at all of memory foam mattresses, I thought these would be the same and that I’d sink into them too much…not the case at all. They cradle your head perfectly. The fact that they’re customizable is also pretty cool, although I thought they were perfect without removing any foam. I will buying more of these as gifts for family at Christmas time. ... show more

Each of these pillows can be unzipped, allowing you to adjust how much stuffing is inside. I chose to remove about 20% of the shredded foam, which I saved in another bag, and now the pillow is perfect for me! The smell is very strong at first, but dissipates within a day or two. I've had my pillows for several months, now. I can report that the quilted outside cover washes and dries like a dream. I highly recommend these pillows for anyone who likes a firmer pillow, but has trouble finding them. ... show more
