- Design: The Kydex Metal Taco Press design is similar to a manual book press. It was engineered for the purpose of making 1-piece, taco-style Kydex holsters and sheaths. The forming pressure is applied through the use of the two wing plates that are fixed in place by a standard 12 inch trigger clamp (not included). The Kydex Metal Taco Press has a small footprint and can easily be broken down and reassembled for storage purposes.
- High Quality: This model of the Kydex Metal Taco Press is simple in design, yet well-constructed. It is made from high-quality materials, such as quarter inch plate steel. The Metal Taco Press is powder coated in black to create a durable and scratch resistant outer surface.
- Center Foam: This model of the Kydex Taco Press uses Maxx Form for the center foam of the press. This molding foam has been specifically engineered for use in press molding sheet materials like Kydex, Holstex, and Boltaron. It also greatly minimizes memory artifacts due to superior chemical formulation. This foam can also be used on both sides, unlike other products. If you want a great all-around molding effect, Maxx Form is the standard for thermoform molding applications.

This is the second one I have and unlike the first (still in use) my Kydex tends to stick to the foam. Every time. I am having to place layers of wax paper in between the foam and Kydex which I don't mind, but my other press has never done that to me. Great product other than that and I use it all the time, making 150-200 knives and Kydex sheaths a year.
