This is my 3rd Holoson and i love these red dots. Very robust, great battery life, and good clear dot. This holoson has the 2 MOA dot and not the 30 MOA circle. I almost never use the larger 30 MOA circle on my other holosuns so I saved a few bucks and got this model. It fits the Trijicon RMR footprint and I use it on my EDC pistol. Compared to some of the other brands out there, the glass may be a bit smaller than others, but it is not an issue. The reliability has been great. I have a Sig R1 and am on my 3rd warranty replacement. The best deal in miniature red dot sights. The 2moa dot is crisp and is more than bright enough for a sunny day or weapon light use. Auto brightness works well enough but I prefer the manual option. Buttons are large and easy to use. Shake awake feature works excellent. There is a slight fisheye effect, especially at very close ranges but is not noticed while in use. Lens does have a blue tint(to help battery life/dot brightness) but again its not a distraction when using the optic. Battery is easy to change without having to remove the sight (no re-zero needed) If a trijicon RMR is out of your price range this is the next best option and blows the competition (vortex,sig etc) out of the water. This is a well constructed, durable optic and is easily the best deal on the market ... show more

These are nice. This is my first Holosun product and I do wish Holosun would use a slightly more matte finish on their black. But no complaints, it's awesome. This V2 is so cool with the battery drawer and no need to dismount for a battery change. I will own another for sure! Auto on/off features are so amazing too. I have eye issues and cheap dots are not good for me. This dot is so unbelievably crisp! Manual mode still does Auto on/off, in case you are curious. The shake to wake is only disarmed if you manually turn off the optic. ... show more

Slapped it on a [redacted] and it works great. Holds a zero very steadily with standard 115g range 9mm. Big fan of the power life on this unit and the brightness settings are well incremented so that there is no “this setting is too dim but the next is too bright” conundrum. My pictures don't do it justice. It does fit the IWI Masada. You will need to use the RMR base plate and Venom/Romeo screws. If you use the RMR screws it will catch internally and not chamber a round. Looks good. Feels durable. Came with tools,pic rail adapter, cleaning cloth, and misc screws. Brightness is great in the house. Will take it to the range this weekend and see how it runs. So far loving it and the wife loves it. ... show more

I just purchased and installed the Holosun Red Dot on my handgun. The install was easy with two size screw lengths provided...four each. Dot is bright and perfect for my needs.     • Hard to beat for the money.
So far so good, survived a 250 round range trip on my glock 19, and it was a rough one. Had some hand loaded 9MM I goofed up and had to use the optic to open the slide a lot and it didn't lose zero. Will be ordering another one as a stand in till I can muster up paying for an rmr for my g17 build.

This review is for the SELLER(S) and not the product, but Amazon wouldn't give me the option to review the seller. Not surprised, after I received an EMPTY BOX! The Holosun 407 is a great red dot optic. I tried to purchase it twice from Amazon. The first time, I received a completely empty box. Contacted the seller according to what my order confirmation claimed to be, and they said they had no record of me ordering that part, and to call their sister store in a different state. Called them, they said it was the other store because they "don't sell optics", and to call them back, or file a claim on Amazon on their store page. I went through the headache of returning the empty box for a refund, because I'm not paying $256 for a little empty box, and attempted to reorder the item from Amazon again. This time, it was showing a different seller for the same item from my "recently ordered" list, but I tried to order it again, regardless. After 2 weeks and some change, on the day it was supposed to arrive, I got a notice saying that the order was cancelled because Amazon couldn't find the item. So now, a month into trying to obtain this optic, I went to Brownells website, and found the same optic for the same price, and received it in a week. And the box ACTUALLY had the optic in it.
