Real wood it's not. Bit as particle board products go, this one has been designed well. It looks and feels sturdy. The drawers' small width is well compensated by their depth. Cabinet doors are soft close. The pulls are nicely done. As for putting it together: It comes into boxes that arrived in two back to back days. When they say to wait until you get boxes before assembly, they are not kidding. Even before the second, smaller box which has cabinet doors and hardware, I decided to call my handyman! He assembled it in under two hours on his own. The reasonable fee he charged was worth every penny. Unless you are really handy, save yourself grief, and call your to go to person before you even start. My handyman told me that these in-home assembly products should be done right the first time. He said undoing and doing the assembly weakens the structure. One last thing: Although it is pretty sturdy, if you have small children, use the wall harness it comes with to make sure it won't topple over. ... show more

Loving it! Simple assembly, looks amazing in our living room, able to mount it to the wall for safety. A few notes - the cabinet comes in two boxes, don’t start until you have both. Weight, it’s heavy so make sure to have help if carrying around the house. The front doors take some finagling to get aligned, we just removed them. Hard to beat the sturdiness and durability for the price. Would recommend! ... show more

Great cabinet! The color is very true to the pictures shown in the description, and it’s pretty sturdy! Assembly was pretty straight forward, and I was able to assemble most of it by myself, before needing a second person to help assemble the rest. It looks beautiful, I love how smooth the drawers and doors close and how much storage this cabinet has. However, I’m still trying to get the doors of the cabinet adjusted again to align better. When assembling the cabinet, there were no directions in the box, however I was able to reach out to the company and they sent a pdf the next day. I was also missing multiple items from the box that I needed for assembly. Luckily the directions tells you the size of screws you need so I was able to purchase the missing ones from a hardware store. I am also missing the adhesive strips that hold the back panels together, and the adhesive disks labeled “S” on the directions. So far not having either has not affected the cabinet too much. I was able to use regular packing tape on the back panels, and since the cabinet is up against the wall, no one can see the tape. It shipped faster than I expected, however it does get delivered by FedEx. This isn’t really the sellers fault but FedEx sent me notifications multiple days in a row saying they tried to deliver but I wasn’t home. I was home all the days they tried to deliver, and never got a call, knock on the door, or a note on the door. I ended up getting it rerouted to pick it up at the FedEx Store, and hauled it home myself. The box it comes in/cabinet itself is HEAVY so you definitely need multiple people to get it loaded and brought inside. The box it came packaged in was very damaged to the point where I could see the wood of the cabinet poking through some of the corners, which is where I think some of the chips and scratches came from. I feel like the box itself maybe could have used some more padding and support to prevent this.
