My son used his own money to reserve this the day it was available for pre-order. We originally got it for Switch, but the date kept getting pushed. Then he talked to his friends and they all recommended the Xbox version anyway, so he switched (pun intended) to Xbox. He loves the game! He likes the intricacy and the challenge throughout the game. I ordered this game for my lovely woman for her birthday. She's a huge Harry Potter fan. The game runs okay on the original xbox one. The loading times can be long, especially when leaving the castle and entering the "open world". My gf says that the game doesn't feel open world because of the loading times. She will be in the castle and run up to a door just to have a swirling icon appear for a few seconds or maybe a bit longer and then the game let's her pass through the door to the next area. Overall she seems to be enjoying it a lot! I'm sure the load times on the series x are probably a lot shorter resulting in smoother feel to the gameplay. However short of paying five hundred bucks for a new gaming system, this works well enough to have a good time and nerd out. ^_^ ... show more

Growing up with Harry Potter I was so happy when the game was released. I play it often , and still haven’t finished the game. Some parts are hard to beat, and some quests you will have to google how to defeat. I genuinely like this game. It allows me to rpg in Hogwarts and go to classes, the flying is extremely hard for me. If k am not hooked up to wifi, sometimes the game lags when your flying or even when loading a scene takes quite a while. ... show more

I really love the open world aspect of this game and the freedom it gives players. Graphics are awesome! I love having the ability to explore Hogwarts and all the other areas for myself. It really is a huge world in the game. Frustrating part is when you purchase the disc, you still have to download the entire game. We purchased the disc since we live out in the middle of nowhere and can't get Internet at our home thinking the disc would be the full game. It was disappointing that it wasn't and we had to wait until we could go to a friend's house to use their Wi-Fi and download it 🙃 ... show more

Don't listen to the bad reviews on here. They are not reviewing the game itself. They are complaining cause most thought this was a digital download. Or can't be patient to wait for the game to be formatted to work one Xbox one. I for one was more than happy to wait. I'm glad I don't have to go and purchase and latest and greatest console or PC to play this awesome game. This game is beautiful and makes you feel like your a wizard. Terrific game. It a really amazing game for people who love the Harry Potter Franchise. The only downside is the loading times but that’s completely excusable for the amount of content you’re able to play. I am eager to see if any DLCs are in the works to expand the already massive map/content inside the game. The combat system in it is incredibly robust and easy to understand when you get the hang of it.
