I received the desk within 5 days, It is shipped in one box that weighs 150 lbs. It is not a shipment that can be left at the door so I recommend offloading provisions be made. The box was well packed and no damage was found. The many pieces were carried from the garage where I took delivery to the room where I was going to assemble it. Assembly took 6 hours (3 the first day and 3 the second day. All the parts were clearly identified and assembly was easy using the instructions provided. It did take a little tweaking to get all of the drawer fronts aligned properly. It is a sturdy desk with plenty of desk space on the top and in the drawers. It matches the room decor really well. I find it very useful. I like the slide out drawer holding my keyboard and mouse handy to use. Standard hanging files fit very nicely in the files drawers. My biggest hesitation in buying this desk was other reviewers saying it was difficult to assemble and the pieces didn't line up. It did take a long time (about 6 hours), but everything fit together quite well. All parts, including hardware, were extremely well marked. The instructions were clear and even included videos on most steps. If you can be organized and follow instructions, it'll go together easily. The sliders on the drawers aren't very good quality, but overall this desk is great and I'd buy it again. ... show more

    • Heavy & sturdy, with lots of parts...

Overall, the desk looks great. The veneer is decent for the price point. It is very sturdy, once it is fully assembled. Most of the particle board panels are labeled and the instructions are clear. Make sure you refer to the diagrams to make sure you are using the correct parts, especially with regards to the screws and plastic angles used to attach the drawer faces. It took 5 hours for two people to assemble. While it wasn't difficult, I would still recommend at least two people for assembly due to the weight and the fact that not all parts have a strong joint (some panels are held together by two or three concealed screws, initially). My only complaint is with the drawer slides. While the faces of the drawers and the slides themselves align well, they are tough to pull and push. The bearings on the slides are greased, and they are smooth by themselves, but the weight of the drawers (even when empty) makes them a hassle. They should consider using the drawer slides from the Sauder Heritage Hill Desk, as those were very smooth. ... show more

I was hesitant to purchase this desk due to all the reviews about how long assembly took and how hard it was. It was not easy but with two people it took about 3.5 hours. I say two people not for the lifting and holding aspects, but to talk through the assembly and second guess each other at times. The directions definitely don’t specify certain pieces like they should but going slow and reading a few times you could catch it. Some steps seem to get ahead of the entire assembly causing it to be harder to maneuver a screw driver. You can easily back up, quickly disassemble, and continue. I will admit not everything aligns seamlessly as I’d hopped and the drawers are a bit sticky which I hope changes over use. It is however barely noticeable. Great desk! ... show more

This is an extremely heavy table and it took close to 9 hours to fix it. The top drawers on both sides are stuck and does not come out. I feel like the most used drawers that I would use are wasted as they are stuck forever now and there is no way to pull them out. I would not recommend this table to anyone. Even the other drawers are not smooth enough to pull. It is very nice to look at but not usable enough to use it for a few months. If you still want to buy then hire an external contractor to build it. I would not recommend anyone to buy it. ... show more

Certainly a decent looking addition as an home office desk. Ample drawers. Pretty good finish as well. Takes a while to assemble but certainly worth it. I had read previous reviews prior to purchase where parts did not align. I had no such issues. But that made me be cautious with following the instructions. Left and Right sides are slightly different from where they extend out etc. Love this desk. Heavy though...But their instruction booklet indicates individual drawer weight etc. That's pretty helpful. ... show more

Very nice looking furniture. However, it is too exacting. I followed all the instructions and yet, the bottom right drawer won't engage the rails. There is no link to contact the seller if you want anything less than a complete return. I just need the bottom right big drawer assembly. I put this desk together with a phillips screwdriver. One tool. Took my time and carefully read the clearly written instructions. Over 140 pieces. I separated and organized parts from a single very heavy box. No damage. A beautifully crafted desk assembly. With bright light, floor space and a work table I finished in about nine hours over several days. I had plastic bowls handy for the many small screws and anchors so as not to lose any parts. Needed no help and I was able to move and flip from top down to upright position after completely assembled. Strong and well balanced.
