These are surprisingly grippy! I put these on several pairs of shoes, but have only worn one consistently enough to write about. I'm not sure what I was expecting -- probably that they would come off on my walk to work, but they've held up really well so far, and I've probably put five miles on the shoes I've worn a few times so far -- no signs of lift yet. The only place that I foresee will pose a problem is one one of the pairs, I could not get one solid piece to fit on the heel and had to cut it in two places. I think, very likely, this will not hold up as well as the shoes where I could use one solid piece to cover the whole heel. ... show more

    • Rubber sole protectors
I am reviewing the Shoe Sole Protectors – 3.9×6.7 Inch Cuttable Rubber Grip Pads for High Heels, Flats & Leather Shoes – 6 Pack. Some shoes have lovely leather (or other material) soles that don't have much grip and are slippy when out and about. These sole protectors are great for adding more traction. The rubber is easy to cut, although getting the right shape can be a bit tricky. I do want the sole protectors to be lined up nicely. It is easier to cut them with an exacto-style knife rather than scissors. These definitely adhere better when the soles of the shoes are cleaned first. There is sand paper included to add a bit of texture to a sole for the adhesive to grip to, if needed. I have found that the edges do peel up a little after several wears. I think additional glue at the edges might help prevent this problem. These are a nice solution to a common issue. Putting on these protectors myself is more convenient than going to a cobbler, although I would spend the extra money for a really nice pair of shoes. I do like that this pack includes enough rubber for three pairs of shoes. ... show more

    • Very sticky for dirt and fuzz but not the grip pads
Took the time, followed directions exactly. Started peeling with 1st use. 2nd, the peeling-off areas increased and began to trip me up. Removed them, and they left a thick glue on the sole that everything in the world stuck to except the grip pads. Since then, I have taken my shoes to a cobbler to have them resurfaced and fitted with grip pads. ... show more
