I purchased this product due to the reviews and price. I've been told in order to have a more comfortable room it helps to have a dehumidifier. My upstairs room is really warm in the summer so, I needed relief. This dehumidifier did remove the moisture. My hygrometer showed 60% humidity and after 1 hour with this dehumidifier on it was down to 42%. That said, the dehumidifer raised my room temperature to 82 degrees from 75. I unfortuneately couldn't deal with that much extra heat while already trying to find a way to make my room more comfortable in the summer. I returned it. This is a portable room dehumidifier. The dehumidifier is ready to go, right out of the box. It runs quietly and smoothly. I live in an area with relative humidity anywhere from 50 - 90 percent. The dehumidifier works exactly as I hoped it would. The dehumidifier has automatic shut off once it has reached maximum capacity. I emptied the reservoir three times in a 24 hour period. The unit I have is intended for an approximate 1500 square foot area. I think this dehumidifier is well made from quality materials and it works great and at only 13" wide, it takes up little space. My old one was very loud and the fan always made a weird noise periodically. I was so use to it that i didn't realize they made quiet dehumidifiers. The Hisense version is mush quieter and made the basement more useable. I personally would only use this in a basement since it does blow hot air, my old one did too. I got the smaller variation so its perfect for my smaller basement but it filled up in one day so you have to empty it often. Also I don't see a pump on mine so I cant attach a hose to it. I probably should have gotten the large one but this still does a great job. Overall I love this and love the feel and smell in my basement now. ... show more

This Hisense dehumidifier is really impressive. It’s small and easily portable, so you can move it around to the areas of the house that need it most. I like that it has an auto-shutoff, so I never have to worry about it running too long or using too much energy. I didn’t even realize how much moisture my house had until I turned this on.
